Construction/Rumors / Re: SDC's 2020 Project (Thread #2)

Whoever is in charge of picking out the music in the City these days needs to find a new gig.

I didn't watch the whole video, so you may have addressed this later. You skipped past the bakery that is between the front gate and the Hospitality House. Is it open? Walking through and getting a free smell is a ritual for us, but I can see how social distancing will be tough in there.

I wasn't referring to outrage on here. I was referring to the outrage on Facebook. It's crazy.

July 9 & 10 for us. If our visit on the 9th isn't enjoyable because of the restrictions, we may cancel on the 10th. I just don't see SDC citizens walking around enforcing the mask rule. Maybe I'm wrong.

I am blown away by the people who are acting so outraged about the mask rule. What did people expect?

I read a report that Holiday World isn't requiring reservations of season pass holders. Only non-season pass holders will have to make a reservation.

I don't know what path SDC will take, but I would have to imagine that season pass holders will get priority admission.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't there a lot of regular summer operating days where attendance doesn't hit 12,500? Fall and Christmas is another story...

I hope the Shepherd of the Hills is able to weather this shutdown and what is likely to be a slow summer. The new owners have made a huge investment there, and I am sure this situation isn't helpful to their cash flow. Branson isn't Branson without the Shepherd of the Hills.

Let me begin by saying that I am speaking from a privileged position because my wife and I continue to receive a paycheck. Many people aren't in the same boat. I get that.

I've been a season pass holder for 15 years. If I don't get to make a single visit this year because of the Coronavirus, I don't feel like SDC owes me a penny. I'll buy my passes again next year and hope for a better year.

The long-term viability of SDC is more important to me than getting to visit this year.

I'm glad to see him back on the schedule. Hopefully the show will go on. I can't imagine a fall without SDC (or a Christmas for that matter).

In my opinion, the best coffee in the park is at Kent Rollins' chuck wagon in the fall!

My family is blessed in the fact that neither my wife nor I are missing paychecks during this situation. We have four season passes. I pray that we will be able to use them at some point this year. If not, I don't expect any sort of refund. As far as I'm concerned, use my money to support the employees of the City.

Does the new bridge attempt to maintain the character of the old bridge? Is the toll house still there? Will we still hear the sound of horse hooves? Inquiring minds want to know!

I loved the gandy dancers as a kid. It was a great way to wear out kids!

I also spent HOURS in the ropes and ball pits where the Crossroads Pizza dining area is located now. It's a miracle that I never got hurt there. I absolutely loved it.

My family and I always have to drive down the strip once on each trip just to see what has changed. Once we've done that, we stay on the yellow route!

I was there Saturday, and was surprised that the crowds were as "light" as they were. It was a beautiful day! Like always, you just have to know where the bottlenecks are and how to avoid them. The only place where we really got jammed up was coming up the pathway from the depot toward Midtown. Other than that, it was fine.

Did anyone notice the most recent copy of the SDC times where it refers to "Craft Days and Pumpkins" for 2020 rather than "Craft Days and Pumpkin Nights"? I thought that was odd. Perhaps it was a typo.
