General Silver Dollar City Talk / Cinnamon Bread.....Please Help!
« on: September 13, 2020, 06:26:17 PM »
As I posted on another Branson forum:

OK, a call to arms, or emails anyway, to all of the Society of SDC Cinnamon Bread Lovers.
Go to their webpage, and ask them to please bring the great original cinnamon bread back to Sullivans Mill.
Keep their new fancy bakery store, sell their multi flavored abominations of the original cinnamon bread there. But at least have the original available at Sullivans too!
It was so nice to enter the park, a short walk across Town Square, and have a cinnamon bread, and cup of coffee. Now it's half way, or better across the park. Why?
My only thought is maybe that way it will increase the sales of those dry, tasteless, disgusting things they call cinnamon rolls at that bakery place as you enter.

Branson Talk / Branson Belle---Poor Service
« on: July 22, 2017, 02:10:44 AM »
For the first time ever we had a server (Terry) on the Bell on Tuesday night that was terrible. Not sure what his problem was, but he seemed to think we were on some kind of liquid starvation program. Filled our glasses one time, and did not check back. At least not until the very last time before the show. I think the server for the rows in front of us had said something because now that it was too late, he asked three times while he was there... Didn't leave a carafe of tea like he did every other table or group, or like all the other servers did. After he first filled our glasses he was gone, thought Christopher had a new act making our server disappear! He came back when it was time for the food. By then I had asked the server taking care of the rows in front of us to refill our glasses. There is no excuse for this kind of service. It has always been top notch on the Showboat Branson Belle.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Cajun Connection
« on: September 25, 2013, 05:30:08 PM »

I really hate to say this, but why are they still there.
The first step down the hill was years ago when they were booted out of the Riverfront Playhouse, and stuck in an outside venue. But they still did a great job even if the show was shorter, and the audience could be suffering from heat exhaustion of freezing!
Then Louis left! to paraphrase an Alabama hit "If you're gonna play in Branson, ya gotta have a fiddle in the band!"
Next to leave, I think, was if I get the name right Terral, or something like that. Both a great comedian, and dance partner for Kelly. Beautiful to watch them in a Cajun waltz. With Kelly leaving a while back, now no comedian, or dancers.
At least when I went to SDC last Sunday they have toned down the Rock 'N Roll of the Beach Boy wannabe keyboard player. Not saying he isn't a good singer, and keyboard player. Nor that I don't like Rock N' Roll. I just thought the songs that he did didn't fit in with a "Cajun" show.
I just wish that Cedric, if he has control over the show, or the SDC talent coordinator, if they have such person, would revamp the show, get a fiddle player, comedian, and dancer, and bring back the "good ole days" of the Cajun Connection.
Probably asking waaaay too much to have them back in the riverfront Playhouse for a longer show.
