The SDC candle-or as close as I can come to it
« on: October 07, 2010, 08:16:57 PM »
So I havent really got an official SDC candle but I did find a site that has the sawdust candle. I asked them to make an asphalt or asphalt/butane mix. Fingers crossed they will. But I am so purchasing the sawdust candle to get me SDC memories on!!!

hotwicks.com

They also specialize in the beer candle, the whiskey candle, the hippie candle, the campfire candle, the man candle and the bacon candle and many more fantastic/not so great but fun scents!
The smell of asphalt and butane says home!

For a short stint in college, I was a stock boy at a local greeting card chain store. The candle section was TERRIBLE. I would get headaches from stocking those shelves for hours every shift. I did find that no matter what they smell like, Nothing can be compared to SDC. If only they made a candle for specfic locations. Here are a few of my ideas:

Knifesmith Candle-iron, and fire/ coal
Funnel Cake Candle-mmmmm.... fried goodness
Roasted Nut Candle-cinnamon, and sugar, and nuts
Skillet Candles-mine never smell as good when I try to cook them-I'd be better off with a scent in a jar!
Carries Candles Candle- Ironic isn't it?
Sullivans Mill Candle-I could never bake enough bread to smell like that in here!
Leather Shop Candle- Thought there are leather candles, none small wuite like this store

Any others out there you would want??

Hot asphalt and damp wood chips
The big skillet. (you know hours after they finish cooking the smell still lingers)
Atomic Fire Ball :)
