I imagine the park will do a two-part announcement. August 14 will announce the ride for the media and create as much national buzz as possible. September 19, Fan Fest, will be an interactive event created for fans and reveal additional details.

Why wouldn't the park announce it all in one go? My guess is that track will begin being placed in the middle of August, and once that starts happening in view of the guests, the park will want to get something out there.

A two-part announcement allows the park to cater to the media and fans separately, providing an overall better experience for everyone.

All I know is that a certain someone in the know, earlier in this thread, stated it would be announced in September.

I imagine there's more than one person in the know.  ;)

I'm not sure what a "record breaking announcement" that has a theme similar to the tease from last year's FanFest (stock shares given to attendees) as well as the general theme they've been setting (the marvel cave mining stock season cups) could even be if it isn't related to the current construction.

It could be a teaser to another announcement?  Who knows. I trust Swoosh. He's been right for many years on here.

The park's social media IS kind of notorious for faking people out, but they've been laying groundwork for this announcement longer than I've seen them tease anything else. If we see teasers start to appear mid/late July, I think it's safe to assume we're getting the attraction announcement in August.

What's interesting is I haven't seen much in the way of fake outs with the teasers or faux trademarks like they did with Lost Caverns or Wild Mountain. I do think since they already did merch that Marvel Cave Mining Co. is a real deal possibly for a new themed area consisting of PK, AP, Project '27 and eventually '29.

Realized yesterday that I never posted the photos I took a week ago of the construction progress: https://imgur.com/a/nTq5yd7

I would be surprised if this is a high thrill coaster, just because that means the park basically will be truly dominated by what most people would deem high thrill coasters. It seems like an odd choice for a place geared towards families. Also, why would you need another looping thrill coaster right next to Wildfire? Then again, why would you need another family launch coaster right next to PK unless it was a lot smaller?

There's not a lot of room to work with, nor are there many good records left to easily break, unless they are going for something incredibly niche. Knowing SDC, that might be exactly what they are doing.

I agree, I feel like a lot of people in this forum are being mislead by what they presume project 2027 to be.

QuoteAlso people are forgetting this park literally built and marketed an Xtreme Spinner for families. Yes it will have its own unique flavor bridging high thrill and family coaster so the classifications kinda get thrown out the window here.

Its a Mack Mine Train style ride lol. It will do some first of its kind in America and break some records but Its not that deep. I dont what sources tell you guys otherwise but they are flat out wrong lol.

^The Dippin' Dots Man is here to ruin y'alls dreams of a hyper coaster.  :)

But for real, a family coaster would be the best thing for the park.

*sips his tea*

Can I just sit this one out? I'm old and don't care to play the whole back and forth banter game this time around.

I promise to still post photos, but I'm out on the whole guessing when they're going to announce and what it is.

Some on here care a lot more than I do.  Go have fun.  Make noise.  Be more than likely wrong.  I remember being young and enjoying those things.

I'll be at the park Saturday and will get photos again then.  Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going back to enjoying Epic Universe

Seeing this video clip and when compared to the footer turnaround by Wildfire one could argue if its not a Hyper or Stryker model it could be a large footprint Mack Mega Coaster. https://youtu.be/FcvSZwQfFB8?si=VaEvAfUd4h_aDz7I&t=350

They only have 2 listed on RCDB and they are both in Europe so it would fit in with the "first in America" statement teased. It has no inversions and is strictly speed and airtime focused. These examples are not very big length wise and the 2027 coaster is rumored to be the longest/largest footprint coaster layout at the park once built so they could market the claim its the largest of its kind. It is also different enough to not make Wildfire and Powder Keg seem redundant.

Edit: Going back through the posts, this coaster was actually briefly mentioned near the beginning of this thread.

^ You're really out here throwing everything against the wall hoping something will stick.  lol

Take it how you will. I was actually just agreeing with your prior statements. Catch ya later.
