Snow in the city
« on: December 07, 2013, 03:36:04 PM »
A friend is there with his infant, toddler, and wife today.  No way would I take my kids in such cold weather.  Anyway, he said he'll be posting more photos after dark.  I'll update with more photos later.

We visited the park today.  With all the snow it is gorgeous.  You know it is cold when the steam from the train feels like tiny ice pellets when you ride through it.  Most of the shops were closed.  But many of the shows were still running.  Saw It's a Wonderful Life.  It was really good. I will post more later.  This cold weather is aggravating my "arthur-itis" and its hard to type..  Talked to Terry Sanders.  He said there were over 2,100 people on park today.  Though the number was low.  It was actually pretty good given the weather. Drove from St. Louis.  The Interstates where clear as was 65.  Branson is still pretty messy, though 76 from Branson to the city was passable.  Hopefully we will get to go back tomorrow.  But they are calling for more precip. so we will see.

And...most importantly, I was able to score the very last Apple Dumpling they had on sale.  It was cold.  But it was good and more importantly...it was mine!!! The victory was doubly sweet, since my last visit, they sold out and I couldn't get one.
