I saw her during my visit a week, or so ago. She was drawing a giraffe at that time. Boy, is she amazing! The shadowing, and color blending, and eye for details is really quite something. She is a wonderful addition to the Harvest Festival.

During art school, I HATED chalk. I could work with pastels/ chalk just fine, and I really had no choice, but I hated the mess, the feeling in my hand (this was an issue with chalk from the time I was little writing on blackboards). Man I wish I had the patience for those large scale drawings though! My medium of choice is Acrylic paint. I am too impatient for others like oil, and I tend to overwork watercolors...

I took hate the feel of chalk. It is not pleasent and I am glad I am not the only one with feeling of chalk-phobia.

I am so glad to have a Smartboard, as well as a markerboard in my classroom. Just the thought of chalk makes me literally need to wipe my hands off.
