^ Though I love your idea about putting in a Baldknobbers museum I don't see that happening because most visitors wouldn't give a flip about the history of the area.  Sad.  I would love to see another indoor ride in the old FITH location.

if they replace flooded mine, I feel like they'll keep it in its current spot. (honestly I don't think they'll replace it. they need new rides, not replacements.) the next ride to close, its tough to say. I think they are done with closures for a while.

I finally watched the video, and it gave some great insight into how Herschend operates, and I'm glad that the comapany is committed to keeping the theme of the parks and improving guest experience. I heard in the video about the "virtual experiences" and how Herschend has to keep investing in the parks to make them better than a video game. I think a good way that they could engage in virtual experiences without cutting into the park experience would be to do a "virtual" SDC. I know that there are recreations of wdw and other parks in Minecraft, and Herschend could recreate SDC and Dollywood, and sell that on the Minecraft store. it would keep people engaging with the parks even at home, and would increase the likelihood of re-vists. virtual outlaw run will never be as good as the real thing, but its not feasible to visit the park more than a couple of times a year.

Going off current trends and since Hershend is big fans with working with Mack I could see them doing a new Flooded Mine there with their new Rocking Boat ride.

I hope this is still on topic, but what do y'all think will replace the old FITH building? ik that the ride closed because of structural issues with the building and not being wheelchair accessable. So if anything was put there, they'd have to either rebuild it from the inside or tear down the building and start anew. I'd like to see a museum dedicated to the history of the original FITH and the baldknobbers story, since the new FITH kinda watered it down. If they do something else, I saw someone suggest a flying theatre like soarin, but that might be hard to theme properly. Another idea someone floated a while ago (I think it was 2008?) was a 3D theatre that showcased a invention show. I love that idea, but I know that 3D theatres are on their way out.

obviously park expansion is necessary, but its nice that SDC is being efficient with land use. as for congestion, I've never seen the area too awful busy (unless its summer weekend/holiday) so they are probably trying to fill that area up to take pressure off of the FITH/Time Traveler areas, which are always busy. I'm curious to see if the dead end by the old FITH is connected to another pathway. would certainly open up the area.

I'm still bothered by the fact it's rumored to be yet another replacement for something. Wished the park would just expand instead of replacing all their legacy attractions as it seems they are dead set on it being the end goal before the decades out.

Yes it seems like it will be really congested.  If they want to expand it seems like they need to expand the footprint of the part to spread the crowd out.  But, I am sure they are the experts.

Does anyone else find it odd that they are building this new ride practically on top of 3 other rides?  (Powderkeg, Wildfire, American Plunge)  They have so much land between the new hotel and the park, why cram these rides all together?
