Bringing up the Cardinals again... is it just me, or do we seem to keep getting beat up by ex-Cards?

Suppan... Edmonds... Marquis... and now Eckstein too!

Doing some rearranging in the house.  I found old video tapes of the Timothy Turnbuckle show, an old Saloon show, and the Hoedown at the Gaslight Theater.  WOW....memories.

Well don't just sit there, get busy converting them to digital and post 'em on youtube!

Let me add my appreciation that you keep this a lean-and-fast site. I see way too many forums that seem to think everyone has the latest-and-greatest hardware, and are running Windows and IE.

Hint for other administrators: if your site requires, or even "works best with" IE or Windows, your site is broken. Fatally broken. If you wrote it with FrontPage and host it on a Windows server, your future as an admin is fatally broken.

And if anyone is curious why this is an issue for me, it's because I use Firefox in a 9 year old Mac running 10.4. I have no problem on well-designed sites, but others are unusable.

I have never seen the inside, but I always thought it was a gaudy monstrosity totally out of character for the Ozarks.

If PETA treated Shamu like they do their pet adoptions, they better be looking for a mighty big dumpster!

Any minor league fans? We have an independent team here, the Texarkana Gunslingers. This is their first season, but they're in second place going into the final weekend homestand. They stand a good chance of winning the league championship. We lost our most devastating closer to the Astros organization, though. If you see Jack "JT" Tilghman playing in the majors someday, just remember that I saw him first.  ;D

Thanks!  I've got mixed feelings about this season.  The Cards are doing much better than they were projected to do which is great.  On the other hand, that just gets our hopes up for another post season appearance, and I'm afraid they just don't quite have the pieces to make it.  They seem to be fading a bit.  It's not out of the realm of possibilities, but it doesn't look good.  I look for good things for next year though, when we have Carp and Waino back.

Dunno about Carp. It's a shame, he was such a promising young pitcher out of NH.

Just so long as Isringhausen goes, I'll be happy. The most frustrating pitcher I've ever watched. Flashes of brilliance and perfect execution, separated by chokes and blown saves.

I'm a lifelong Cards fan, but I wound up marrying a congenital Cubs fanatic. We compromise by hating the Yankees.  ;D

(I even bought her a t-shirt that reads "JESUS HATES THE YANKEES!")

Some great antique photos, plus a number of brochures that I remember.

The Plummer Family brochure is welcoming the Master's Four. I knew them when they were the Texans, and were singing to tracks in tiny podunk churches (like ours).

Fair enough. I also encourage people to spend time at Reasons To Believe, a group of evangelical Christian scientists.
