A total of 3-5 runs scored makes for great baseball.

I just caught this factoid in the ESPN report of Saturday's game:

Albert Pujols' seven RBIs matched the season output of the Kansas City Royals.

 ;D ;D ;D

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but ESPN's live updates on the scoreboard page are smokin' fast this year. I had the page up while my brothers-in-law were watching the Cubs game last night, and every pitch was updated before I could turn my head from the TV to my computer.

Wow, Pujols had the hot stick today! A slam and a 3-run shot, for 7 RBIs against the Astros.  ;D

I didn't know this Silver Dollar City fan site existed.
I went on a cave tour yesterday and our guide mentioned sdcfans.com on the train ride out of the cave.

Gee, I wonder who that could have been?  ;D

"The greatest cause of atheism in the world is Christians who proclaim Jesus with their lips, and then go out and deny Him by their lifestyle... this is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable."

I was rooting for Louisville today. Bummer. Glad NC won, though.

In the Mizzou/UConn game, I was glad the refs let them play. It was a physical game, but I hate it when they whistle every time somebody gets brushed against. Yeah, I noticed some traveling, and that's why I don't watch NBA.

Wow, what a game!

Sorry to see Mizzou lose, but they sure played 'em. If they'd done better on either 3 pointers or offense rebounding, I believe this game would have gone the other way.

It's nice to see that old familiar "40 minutes of hell", aka "Hawgball". Makes me want to kick Frank Broyles' butt for letting Mike Anderson get away.

That was a good game. So was Siena/Louisville. Most of the rest have been pretty one-sided.

Yeah, that looks so much more "accessible" than the green trams.  ::)

Thanks for the parking report. I'll miss the green trams. The ADA nonsense is just that: the only thing they could have lacked was storage space for wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Even 30 years ago the trams were "race for your seat", but anyone capable of navigating the park could have easily ridden the trams.

Circa 1998, there were certain tram rows reserved for handicapped riders, and the waiting lanes were clearly marked. Ample time was provided for everyone to load up. The only problem was the occasional loudmouth who got separated from his wife (sitting two rows away), who insisted on berating everyone within earshot about how they'd been "screwed out of their seats".

I know I am somewhat inaccessible when I am working, but if you want you can get my attention and say hello!

Do you look like your avatar?  ;D

R.I.P. green trams.  I will miss you. :'(

I hope SotH still runs their tour trams.

Other Parks / Re: Magic Springs Ark.

That sounds like a cool place to go visit. Is the park actually in Hot Springs?

Right on the eastern edge of the city, on U.S. Hwy 70. It's less than 2 miles from downtown.
