You have the power to delete any negative comments that he my leave, or any that his minions may also place on the site. It really is sad that kind of attitude exists in a grown man.

Ignoring it will not be a problem, but Chittlins has already offered to take Rob hunting....and if that happens, I want to go too!

I remember as a kid being completely amazed by the "Infinity Room" at the Tree House, the "suspended water faucet" in Grandfather's Mansion, and the "faces" in the AP cave.

Simple effects that just blew my mind as a child.

Just noticed the SDC iPhone App has been updated with wait times for Thunderation, Lost River and Outlaw Run. Currently Lost River is at 10 minutes, Thunderation is at 0 minutes, and Outlaw Run is Temporarly Closed.

I like this added feature - now if they would do this with all rides so I could plan my day in the park better.

I too think a spinning coaster would be a great family addition to the park. I would just like something with a little more thrill (length) than the ones that are currently on the market. Of the current manufactures, I like Gerstlauer cars better because you sit across from each other.

As stated earlier, I'd really like for SDC to update what they have (FM, AP and FITH really could use some TLC). Put in a little extra effort and make these rides signature rides. But I also know it's hard to market that to people....so we probably will never see that happen.

But what I'm hearing from other sites too is that it's a B&M coaster headed our way....which would be fine....just make it a great ride and leave as many trees as possible. I'm sure the theme will be great as always.

I just hope that Silver Dollar City never loses the charm in favor of big rides. The reason I love Silver Dollar City is because of it's beauty and the fun I can have with my family. In fact the last time my family went, we spent all day just for the rides, and still didn't get all of them in.....we remarked that one of these times, we are just going to come one day and not ride anything (just see the shows, visit the shops, take the cave tour). There is so much to do at the park already so I wouldn't mind them taking a few years just to really fix up what they already have.

It would be nice to have American Plunge, Flooded Mine and Fire in the Hole made back into the signature rides they once were. Just imagine top notch quality dark ride sections for those rides combined with what already makes them great. Thunderation is a great mine coaster, just finish it off with the covered last drop to keep you in theme and from seeing the backstage areas of the park. Just little stuff like this would keep me happy.

I'm probably in the minority, but I'm not completely excited about a new B&M taking out a bunch of trees (like what was done on Wildfire). I'm sure whatever is done will be great, and that I'll have fun. Swoosh seems excited, so maybe I shouldn't be so pessimistic, but I just want the park to always stay true to its roots.

I just got one and it was asking me about Fall exhibit shows such as:
sidewalk art competition, car shows, military show, Jack Hanna, Missouri sports greats, and several others.

There really wasn't any that made me want to drop everything and head over to SDC to watch any of them.

I find it interesting that people complain about this ride. It is the absolute best mine coaster on the planet. You could argue that Big Thunder Mountain was better, but as far as the coaster part of the ride, there isn't a better mine train out there.

The final drop, is better than any final mine train drop that I have ridden. Most are not much more than a 30 or 40 foot drop into a tunnel. TNT's final drop is twice the size (over 80 feet) as any other mine coaster out there.

The only thing I would want to see done, is enclose the final drop as it was originally proposed. I don't like seeing the backstage of the park when on top of the lift. And if they wanted to make the ride longer with another run down the mountain, second lift and bigger final drop....that would be okay too. But if they didn't change anything, it would still be my favorite mine coaster.

I took I-44
Exit 302 to US 60
Turn right onto Missouri Z
Turn right onto MO-39
Turn left at State Highway EE
Turn left onto MO-76
Turn right MO-13/MO-76
Turn left MO-76

I was able to fly down the road.....traffic was non-existent today.

This route is 185 miles compared to the 223 miles when going through Springfield.

Went to Silver Dollar City today, and had probably my worst day ever....but not completely the fault of Silver Dollar City.

Got up early, and left around 7:00am and took a new route from Broken Arrow to the City and arrived in less than 3 hours. Drive was great.

Got to the park and walked out of the hospitality house right in time for the pledge and national anthem.

Proceeded to walk to Outlaw Run, and when we got there, line was already past the Barn Swing. But the ride hadn't opened yet so the line was a little deceiving. The ride opened about 10:10 and sent about 4 trains through the course, before it was closed again to add a second train to the track (why it didn't open this way I'm not sure). While waiting for the second train to get placed on the track my daughter begin to feel sick...so I had to leave and we went back to my truck in the parking lot...and that's where her and I stayed.

I left my son to ride, and after another 40 minutes, was one train away from riding when the ride broke down again on the lift. He was going to wait it out, but they made everyone leave. He went to Powder Keg and it was closed too. Around 11:30 he finally got a ride on Wildfire, then about 12:30 he was able to ride Outlaw Run. We left the parking lot at 1:30.

Anyway, we'll try again....soon. I can't believe I drove 6 hours today and didn't get to ride anything, but there will be another day...I hope.

I heard a rumor.........because I don't have a reliable source.........that when Texas Giant goes to three train operation, there will be a train constantly being loaded, therefore you have a constantly moving line.

I know a lot of people like to have certain seats when they ride, but I've been to SFOT when a half empty car would go out of the station because a group wanted to be in the same train together. Maybe this will help stop that from happening. At Disney, you don't usually get a choice which seat you sit in, and I still had a great time. But then there's the guy at SFFT that had that big blow up when he couldn't sit exactly where he wanted on the rattler....so as this thread illustrates, some will be happy, some will be mad, and then there will be those that don't care. But if the tests show they can put more people through the ride then that's the choice I'm for.

SDC Facebook shows a picture of them cleaning up the Outlaw Run area with the following caption "Seems to be a lot of activity at Outlaw Run today. Must be preparing for something......"
