I don't know if I want to see Jim Owen's Float Trip come back. It had great theming but I think SDC can go in a different direction and it would be a much better addition. I'd much rather see the Diving Bell return than this.

I haven't been to White Water for a few years. The slides look really neat though. I love speed slides. You get a huge adrenaline rush!

I bet their testing it out during this festival to see if it does pretty good. If it does well then maybe it will become a permenant attraction.

We all figured this was coming for the '08 season but it looks like it's here for the Southern Gospel Picnic.

I'm kind of excited but nervous at the same time. I'll survive.

I got this idea from another forum...

This is the place where you can relax from all your great Silver Dollar City conversations with others and you can just talk about anything you want!! What you did today, what's going on in your life, anything! We don't care!!

I start my high school career on Tuesday. I got my schedule and I've found out I don't have any classes with four of some of my best friends. Quite sad really.

I wish I had pictures or knew something about this but I don't know anything about the ferris wheel.

My sister is going to the park tomorrow with a friend of hers. Sadly, I was not invited to go!

In the nineties the treehouse used to be one of the prime attractions at the park. It was a great place for kids to play and parents to relax their feet. It was also in the middle of the park so almost everyone went through it. Now people just walk through to get to the ride down the road. Quite sad actually.

I really can't say much in this thread because....well, I wasn't even alive!! But Fire in the Hole was also one of my first roller coasters as was the Ore Cart.

If I get to go to Dollywood next summer this is the first thing I want to do. I've heard good things about it and it looks really fun!

Off Topic: We've made history! This is our first two page thread here on these forums!! Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it is.

I've heard of this before but I don't really know anything about it. Did it used to be where Grandfather's Mansion sits now?

I'm in the same boat you are Whales. I've probably been in the mansion a million times. It's one of my fondest memories from SDC. But it does need a fix up. I think if they re-did it but didn't change it completely, it could become a highlight attraction like it used to be. And if they replace it with those cooking seminars, I will go to the Herschend's myself and complain.
