I haven't had good experiences with Six Flags parks. Good thing Six Flags sold it or else I probably would've never wanted to go. But if I'm ever in Oklahoma I might have to check it out.

I've never heard of this park or the rides for that matter. Sorry I can't debate with you here.  :D

Our high school isn't air conditioned. Today was probably the last day we're getting out early. And it's much cooler at home. I have air conditioning at home! It's supposed to be in the 80's all week I think now. Which is good.

And I know double posts don't matter but for some reason I hate double posting.

School was a half day today because of excessive heat. I was dead tired. I think around one or so I fell asleep on the couch. It's now four o' clock and my mom woke me up. I was tired!

EDIT: Sorry for the double post, I hate to do it.

Sometimes my football coaches can be really stupid. We just had a full day of school. Then we all had to go to a 3 hour football practice in the 95 degree weather. Now they told us we have to go to practice at 5:00 AM tomorrow morning. Which means I have to wake up at 4:30. Now that sucks. I love to sleep. Plus I have algebra homework and a couple tests to study for. And then after practice I have to go to school. Grrr!

I'm so glad ThuNderaTion was never completely removed. FITH, ThuNderaTion, and the removed Ore Cart roller coasters were all my first coasters. ThuNderaTion has a lot of history in SDC and if it ever gets removed I think I might cry.

I've rode both the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Big Thunder Mountain versions, and maybe it's because of the extra long queue line, but I like ThuNderaTion better than both of them.

On the Lost Concepts page on the site you said that the proposed Mine Train Coaster, might've replaced ThuNderaTion, since the park was unlikey to have two mine train coasters. Do you think that the park is looking to replace ThuNderaTion because of it's old age, or was it thought to have been on the way out just because of a proposed coaster of the same type coming in?

I'm also starting to wonder if maybe they could be bringing back one of the old flat ride concepts, like the shot tower or the frisbee, or even something completely new, seeing as The Giant Swing was such a hit. I still think the park needs more shops rather than rides though. Everyone disagrees with me because SDC doesn't have as many rides as other parks, but remember: SDC isn't a traditional, cookie-cutter, ride-oriented park, it's almost a real city, and that's what makes it so special. Face it: other parks are only as good as their rides, but SDC only has a handful of rides, yet it ranks with Disney and Universal.

Here's what I would love to see in '08:
Grandfather's Mansion rehab- Don't change the history of the ride, but make it more modern
More Shops- Midtown area.
A new major flat ride if more shops aren't built.- I would love to see the once-proposed pendulum swing come to the Grand Exposition.
Tom Sawyer's Landing Revival- I would love to see this area come back to life into what it was like whenever I was little.

If all this were to happen that would go over the budget that I've heard that their planning to use.

I agree with you though Whales. Now that SDC is a top ranked attraction in the US, I don't want them to go all thrill on me. I still want the park to hold the great charm that the park has always held.

What a great and very informative page Whales. Thanks a bunch for everything on the site and this forum. I can't wait to dish out my ratings for all the rides....

Speaking of the rating system, what will be able to rate. Just the current rides, lost rides, or lost concepts??

I'm going to Rock the Light Music Festival in Kansas City at the Starlight Theatre. It should be fun. I'm excited. On Friday I've got a football game. It's a varsity game so I most likely won't get to play very much. Hopefully I get in on a few snaps.
