Yep! nice catch Ozarks gal.. I saw that, interesting idea..
I also noticed that the "made in the USA show" on the showboat will be done next year...
I am glad, because their show with the "showmen" & the "aerial violinist" is not worth seeing... (IMHO)....
however I do like the shows with the pianist, mike blick, showgirls and Dean church.. that is a great show!
I am surprised they are changing already, with these show, since they are only 3 years old.. But I think they need to keep a variety on the boat.... (todd oliver was there for 10 years! TOO Long)
Your immediate battle plan should be as follows:
1. Get to the park EARLY (as in before rope drop)
2. Go to the rope on the path closest to ThuNderaTion
3. Go immediately to It's A Wonderful Life and get in line for first show
Dickens' last show of the day will be the lightest attended.
Watch the 2nd parade - go ride during the 1st parade.
The later shows of Living Nativity will be lightly attended.
You can skip Frosty - no really, skip Frosty
The Saloon Show is fun, but if you are short on time, it can be skipped.

Sweet, thanks! I like having battle plans! I didn't even know there was a frosty show. Doesn't really sound appealing anyway. Which plays are in which houses? I guess I can always find out when I get there but I'm just curious I suppose.
I am happy to publish our numbers for the last few years since we started the discount! Sandune is right, we do increase every year which is awesome! It's funny, when first started corporate was not aware of how the numbers would grow, now they love this group!
2011 - 277 Rooms booked
2012 - 322 Rooms booked
2013 - 338 to date (still have month to go!)
Also, we have received more calls this year about how they have found this site, just signed in and then in-turn making reservations! We do make it clear, you have to be a member of this site to get the discount. If you are not a member and just looking well then when you join, you can have the discount!. Hopefully this has contributed to part of the growing members on this site? Again I cannot say thank you enough for all of your support!
Seems like it would be easy enough to pull some "volunteers" from Wilson's Creek or Pea Ridge. And bring back an updated Civil War show in the Opera House!
The last time, I carried my daughter through the distance of the cave. It must have been four or five years ago. Now, I would have to carry my son, and he's a chunk. I want to take the lantern tour.
I put this question out there kinda hoping that the PTB would actually pay attention. For the stuff that tastes really good the portion size is going your way down and the price is going way up. the buffets make more sense but they're not nearly as good as Golden Corral. So my vote goes for portion size because there's still some really good food out there.
Just curious. When was the last time you did the cave tour? We did it last year. Of course, we have only been to SDC one time this year. I know you have heard me say that the cave gets no respect, & i understand why. I just wish there was more mention to it in commercials & adds when ever you see stuff about SDC. I always say that its the only amusement park that has a cave. Is there any other parks out there that have one?
Long live the Cave!!
