I go to Branson and NW Arkansas to get away from the city. I live in OKC, where we have casinos and bars and big name concerts and Bricktown and Dave and Busters. I can do all that here. Although, in Oklahoma, you can't buy liquor at Sam's Club. 

What can Branson and Northwest Arkansas offer that is different from OKC, yet still interesting enough to the younger generation that will make them want to come visit? I love the idea of a drive in theater and aquarium at CC.  I think that kind of thing would be a great start. I think that converting the grand palace back into what it started as... A venue to bring in out of town stars... is a great idea, too.

Isn't the water park in OKC a Premiere holding and they just manage Frontier for CNL Lifestyles. Doesn't a further increase in the waterpark type of thing take away from the waterpark. Robbing Peter to pay Paul?

It is owned and or run by the same people here in OKC. They sell the double park season pass just like SDC/White Water. A few years ago I went to Frontier City, and they were selling a season pass (to FC only) for the price of a single days admission.

I guess I am just spoiled because the theming at SDC is so much better than what FC has. I always felt they could do so much more with it.

The water park is "White Water Bay" which was owned by HFEC for a while after it first opened up.

As for what I would do, I've posted it all before.

Had a good visit last weekend. They are open year round which is very nice. Branson itself didn't have all that much going on.

Branson will never be Vegas and it shouldn't try to be.

What I mean by that is Branson should not sell its soul to attract more visitors. There is a demographic out that seeking "family values" type experiences and that is the demographic that Branson needs to be targeting.  Keep the shows rated "G" and relevant at the same time.

The Lake of the Ozarks crowd is moving to Branson and messing up the lake! (IMHO)

I'm 40 and I have 3 kids. We like fishing and camping and hiking. All things I can do in the Branson area, without even setting foot in Branson unless I want to. Maybe I am the "lake of the Ozarks" crowd.

I myself cannot stand classic rock and old TV.

I myself cannot stand new rock or new TV. The reason they call it classic rock is because it was good enough to continue to get airplay. I'm sure that some of the modern songs will be classics at some point. Reality shows are complete junk.

It's that 20's to 40s demo where the future lies. If I'm in Memphis and I'm taking my kids on a vacation and I have it narrowed down to Branson and PigeonForge/Gatlinburg it's an easy choice to opt to go east. Wasn't that way 20 years ago but it is now.

I'm not against change in Branson, but my concern is the vision you have for it. What are you suggesting? How about turning CC into an aquarium? That would be fine by me. What other suggestions?

I am going to be in Branson this weekend (Job Interview in Harrison). I was thinking about going to see the Hughes brothers since everything else is closed. Sounds like a good show.
