Happy Easter!

Why is it that people always try to find a way to make money on something that was free.  There are listings on Ebay offering to sell you an envelope for $50 and give you the tickets for free.  This is why they have talked about doing away with the free tickets.

Does anyone know or any good Flea Markets or Antique stores.  I am taking some friends with me to Branson next time and they really like that kind of stuff. (and so do I)...  I have seen some up and down the Strip but wanted to know if there are good and bad ones.

I think there are a lot of people that miss this part of the park.  In the heat of the summer my kids and I go over here to relax and cool down under the canopy of trees.  During Moonlight Madness my 5 year old decided she was going to purchase one of the rabbits.  They sell them for between $15-$25...  After we had purchased it she wanted to go into the cave so the nice people at the Cave Desk kept an eye on it during our hour tour.

I will have to say that SDC has good animals.  Caroline (my daughter) entered that bunny in the County Fair and won First in Breed and then won Grand Champion of all the rabbits.  She was so thrilled.  She told me next time we go back she wants a Pig.  Thank goodness they only have 3 and the usually sell them in early Sept.  That's all I need is a house pig.

I plan to take head to SDC this weekend to the SGP.  I think it is a great festival but it is way too short.  I am taking my friend Shane and his wife with me.  His wife has never been to SDC I think she will like it.  Is anyone else planning to go this weekend?

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Frisco Silver Dollar Line
« on: May 02, 2008, 10:49:37 AM »
I was talking to some of the conductors and was told that the train robbery will be ending in the next 2 years.  They have already stoped it at Dolly Wood.  He said that the next new area of the park will be out there and a new Depot will be put in.  You will then ride the train to get to the other section.  Since the only reason for the Robbery is to build up steam the new Depot will give the train time to do that.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / SDC BLOG
« on: March 07, 2008, 10:29:30 PM »
Did they pull the BLOG?  I can no longer find the link anywhere on the site for it anymore.  I hope Conductor Sam is still with them.  I had heard he was out for the birth of his child but it is hard to believe that since the park is opening in 2 weeks there is no BLOGing going on.  I had the blog site saved in my fav section so here it is.  http://www.silverdollarcity.blogspot.com/  The link still works but I sill have not found it on the main site.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / SDC needs a WEB cam
« on: January 30, 2008, 10:21:39 PM »
SDC really needs to get a few web cams.  I have found only one in Branson.  It is on the Titanic web site. http://www.titanicbranson.com/titanic_webcam.php . On this one you can even take control of it and look up and down the strip.  Any one know if there are more around the Branson area on in SDC?
