Branson Talk / Starlite Theatre - No more

I dont know if this has been mentioned yet.  But another project going on in Branson, is The Starlite theatre is closed for good..  most of their shows transfered to The Americana.

The word on the street is They are going to put a  National Inquirer Museum in its place..

I dont know if they are going to rebuild existing structure or demo and rebuild, But they did start interior demo in the Atrium area this week. 

Its  too Bad I always like that theatre, altough the Atrium had to very costly to maintain and didnt earn a single dollar, all wasted space..

Branson Talk / RFD sells again- NO Hatfields and McCoys Dinner Show..

I posted this on another site, but since HFEC would be invlolved, I thought would post it here also...

While I was in town this weekend, eating lunch at Get'n Basted (of course), talking to my friends that live in the area..  I was very surprised to be told the RFD had been resold again!!

Yep sold this year, recently.   The buyer? none other than Dolly's Dixie Stampede!  Yep, bough the building and all the land adjoining..  Nothing like buying out the competition before they even start up..

Of course my questions was what now? Acrobats staying? doing a differnet show there? what?

I was told they were planning on leveling the building.!!  I dont know about that detail!,  WOW!!  Thats a lot of expense, just to level the property and not to worry about return on your money..   Stampede must be making a FORTUNE!!!.

I also am wondering, IF Stampeded did indeed purchase this, since they are managed by HFEC..  who actually bought it?  Stampeded? or HFEC..

With possiblilty of snow coming this weekend....

yes Branson streets are a lot of fun,  BUT if it snows on I-44 east and west of springfield??  I-44 is almost indriveable.. I have been caught downt there a couple of times.. 

What did Schultz used to say on Hogans Heroes.......  "Very Interesting"

I think I am going this saturday..   Hopefully better than the summer show,   

But I know It wont be as good as last year since they let Casandre' go.  Hard to beat her talent and voice on any Christmas songs....

Have you heard about this? over 200 feet tall, tallest one in america,  so tall it has to have clearence lights for air planes..

I have mixed thoughts about this project..

I have designed, built and rode dune buggies for over 40 years...
Ridden dirt dirt bikes for over 50 years,
3 and 4 wheelers of all sizes and makes and models. over 40 years..
But I am thing about getting into a Side by Side Racer (polaris razor for example).
Anybody ride? pros-cons? brands? sizes?
I am looking at 2015 or newer 900 or 1000 polaris....
Ideas? suggestions? problems?

"Dolly Parton is bringing her popular Pirates Voyage dinner and a show from the southern coast of Myrtle Beach, S.C. to the Great Smoky Mountains.
The country music queen announced Thursday plans to open the attraction at her Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., by spring 2019"

Branson Talk / Mr. B's Ice Cream Parlor.

As many of you know, I am friends with The Haygood bunch, that being said. I am pleased to make this announcement for them....

Mr. B's Ice Cream Parlor is Located in old downtown Branson, On the Corner SE corner of Main and Veterens Blvd.. Just across the street and West and up the hill from Dicks 5 & 10.. .

I am happy to announce that there are new owners for this business.!! YES!! Thats right, Three of The Haygood brothers went together and purchased it. They actually got possession on Labor Day Weekend. The previous owner is staying on for a bit, to help with vendors and suppliers.

You will see many of the old faces behind the counter and of course new faces too.

They are not planning any BIG changes, but rather lots of little ones. They will be keeping the 50's theme ice cream parlor.

The menu is going to be tweaked and improved, with very few deletions, but several new items to be added, again this will happen over the next few weeks..

Probably some new seating, booths and such.

Since The Haygoods are involved you can expect some major lighting changes and additions, Both inside and outside..... Lots of L.E.D. of course..!!

Being this late in the year, I am sure there will be lots of stuff added and modified through the winter months.

They are open for business, and looking forward to the fall season in town, stop in, have a cone, or chili pie, Ice cream sundae, or chili dog, or regular hot dog or choose anything off the menu, take a minute and relax, check it out and look around for the guys. No telling who may be hanging around...Tell them hi, and let them know about your visit..

heres the deal,
I am buying a 1/2 ton shortbed pickup in san antonio texas...  looking to get it transported to Topeka kansas..  750 miles one way...  checked internet estimats are about 1,000.00 .   from major companies..  WOW!!     
Do any of you have a contact that does this kind of work?  that would do it for less money.. Maybe somebody headed that way loaded and looking for a load to bring back..  Thanks!!..
