Haha, I am glad I am not the only one noticing those beards! It's turning into Baseball Dynasty out there!

Comparatively speaking, most of November is okay, but I would avoid Thanksgiving weekend. Made that mistake last year! :o :P

Hey now, the Waterboggan tower is still in use! They use it string a multiple story tall wall of lights during Old Time Christmas. ;)

So you guys are saying you are Boston fans right? ;) Just teasing! Hold the tomatoes! :o ;D

Cardinals have the upper hand if they can just keep it going.

Why do they have to put all of those booths on the main square.  You cant get around and it looses the charm of the place.
This I agree with.  I think they could spread a lot of this else ware around the city.  There arte plenty of dead areas that could use some more activity.  Like the Red Gold Area and the area near the water boggin tower, either side of the train Bridge near the saloon.  It does detract from the square to fill it up with a maze of booths.

Although I agree, I can perhaps see why they do it. Everyone who enters the park has to go through the main square. So anything they put there is guaranteed to get lots of attention. It could be argued that such a practice looses the charm of Silver Dollar City, but the main square has always been the central location for live entertainment, craftsmen, and special activities. Besides, if you spread it out too sparsely, some things may get easily bypassed.

I am definitely not going to Silver Dollar City on Thanksgiving again this year! It was too crowded that Saturday. :-X :)

However, I do plan to attend sometime during Old Time Christmas.

Interesting article! Ironically enough, I have family coming into town from Florida to go to Branson in November.

The writer definitely hit the overall Branson concept. :)

I agree with chittlines. I am by no means a ThuNderaTion mechanic, but both ends of the car appear to be mechanically identical. I believe riding backwards was a way for Silver Dollar City to reinvigorate excitement for ThuNderaTion after it had been operational for several years. Now that Silver Dollar City has Wildfire, PowderKeg, and Outlaw Run, the backwards seat gimmick may not be necessary anymore.

Purely speculation! :)

The wife and I made "Harvest Skilllet" at home last night and it turned out very very close to the original and a whole lot cheaper. :D

Just don't bring any of it with you into the park. Those skillet cookin' citizens are a passionate folk, and might chase after you. ;)

Ah, Junior! This is like choosing which grandparent to send to the nursing home! :D

If I was forced to go with the options presented, and refurbishing was not available, I would go with the tree house. Simply because it is currently nothing more than scenery. Granted, it is scenery that I absolutely adore! But, I suppose I could go without it. If you must!

I agree, qwed94! Definitely a night to remember! Now that the curtain has fallen, did anyone get a chance to see the last show? I am very curious about how it went. :)
