but the more I think about it the more I think the more obvious plan would be to build back the back of the park with Roaring falls and a couple of one of the more popular CC rides.

Fixed.  I haven't heard anything about "a couple" but I have heard of one going back there.

Still waiting for construction to start on what is replacing Waterboggan before we start discussing what is going to go there.  I'm curious if they'll use the tower that's already there or if they'll build a completely new one.  One thing is for sure, that area of the park will become quite the area of interest later on this season if indeed they go through with this project.  It's too bad it had to get delayed a year due to RB getting delayed a year because it sure would have been an awesome addition for the 50th.... and if eveything goes to plan it is going to make Dollywood quite jealous

This has been quite the day for updates - we just got some new photos in of the demolition of Splash Harbor and Waterboggin: http://sdcfans.com/gallery.php?g=18

Splash Harbor is already a memory, and the Waterboggin is just a tower now. I wonder if they'll be able to re-use the tower for anything...

Where Splash Harbor was:
-Roaring Falls
-CC Rides (they'll be hidden from the main midway and will only be seen once in GG)

Where tower for WB was:
-Adventure Mountain Rope Course

NEW GCI WOODEN COASTER:
well as pointed out above, the topography over by PK matches pretty closely what was put on the GCI Facebook page.  Take it for what it is worth.

I'd say we have some "BIG" seasons ahead of us at SDC

I'm just saying that...
One rumor says that a woodrn coaster is supposed to go there.
One rumor says that Celebration City's flat ride collection and Roaring Falls are supposed to go there.

One has to be right and one has to be wrong -- then again they could both be wrong, but obviously they both cannot be correct.

We have school today, but we're getting out early for "teacher in-service" -- so far this week we've been in session for 2 half days.  Man when we get to our first "full day" it is really going to hurt -- BUT we have a 3-day weekend coming up so. HOORAY!

Yes but... the other side of the coin is that a bunch of flats and Roaring Falls is supposed to go in that area over by GG -- if that is the case, how can a woodie go there... oh wait.

I took those photos on my Blackberry, I'll try to remember to take my camera out there next week and capture a few more shots.  It's supposed to snow again Monday, so it may be later in the week before I can get around.  I'll get some of the Lake Silver area also.

I LOVE getting a call at 5:30am to tell me that I get to sleep in that day. Wait, what? 

I find it humorous that of the 9 schools in our conference, only us and one other school have yet to call of school.  I also find it funny that we're supposed to be in a basketball tournament this week at a local school and so far no games have been played nor will they until Wednesday as that school called off again.

Makes if a little difficult to do scheduling as my Drumline is supposed to go do an exhibition performance at the tournament some time... it was supposed to be tomorrow night, but those games are now Thursday? I think.

Wow.  It has literally snowed the last 24 hours here.  I don't remember the last time we had this much snow on the ground.  It's crazy.  Roads here are terrible, but I'm not holding my breath that we'll have a snow day tomorrow.  For some reason our supt. has become very timid about calling off school here all of a sudden.

It's not stickin' on the roads here anymore, but on the ground where there is already a bunch of snow it sure is.  The snow is getting pretty deep now.
