Better yet, make it a sit down meal and show -- you get to eat what is made, but you get to learn how it IS made so you can try to make it at home (though most won't be able to)... it's like a show that you'd see at the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot.

No, unfortunately I have to wait one more year to be eligible for tenure.  You have to teach 5 years in one district to get your tenture and then teach one more year there after that with the actual tenure... then (after that 6th year) you can go anywhere in the state and teach for just one year before you are eligible for tenure at that district.

Yep Junior.  The "strict teacher" got "Teacher of the Year" -- it just shows that students want discipline and consistency.  I wish some of the other teachers in our district would get a clue and figure that out instead of trying to be the students' "FRIEND" all the time.

They'e are not YOUR friends, they can be a friend, but you are not friends in that sense.  No one will turn on you quicker than a student that has been "wronged" or has "lost faith" in you because you lied to them or went behind their back on something that was confidential.

Year 4 of my teaching career is officially in the books.
I cannot believe that I have been teaching for 4 years already and that all 4 have been at this school district.  Not complaining, but man, time has really flown by.

In other news, for the 2nd year in a row, I received the "Teacher of the Year" award as voted on by the students.  (we also give out one that is voted on by the teachers).
Go Me. :D

because school starts back up in the area the week before... and because college starts back up around that time as well.

Actually it would help if they used the doors on the OTHER side of the building (Opera House) as the entrance doors and the current doors they use to enter as emergency doors it would work a lot better.  There is a lot of room there backstage behind the fence that they use for the parade route that could instead be used as queue area.  They could build a permenant queue area that is shade covered and that would free up that entire park area over by PowderKeg and would eliminate the line spilling out into the midway.  They just need to build the queue area big enough to accomodate a large number of people.  This would also eliminate those who "cheat" by cutting line by "going to the restroom" instead of waiting in line.  That issue would not exist anymore because the line would be on the other side of the building.

At the same time.  The Opera House needs to move its current queue area to the North side of the building where the cemetary is currently.  They could then have the crowds still enter through the same door, BUT instead of coming back out that door, have them exit out the SOUTH door and into the midway near the railroad crossing.  Remove ALL of the old queue area there to the West side of the Saloon can be removed.  The food stand there to the West of the building that sells Strawberries and Cream during the summer also needs to be moved and can be moved over by the Lumber Camp entrance and out of the middle of the walkway.  This alone will help open up that bottle neck area that always gets congested when the shows let out at the same time.

Call me a pessimist, but I'll believe it when the gates to the park finally open... and even then I might not believe it (yeah hi WWW - looking at you).

I think the Culinary School would be more successful if it was tied in with the motorcoach tour tickets as something that they have to do while they are there.  I personally have yet to do it, but it is not my forte so I probably will not.

I just find it odd that they charge to learn how to cook when the other demonstrations around the park are free.

^Well the 5 year plan involved the new trains, the updating of the scenes, a lot of safety upgrades, and there are few more things that if the money holds out they want to do still.

I think it was more of a "this is what we are going to do next year, will you like it?" survey.
They did the same thing with the Culinary School

Guys, this might just be my eyes deceiving me -- but if you look at that concept art map you're going to see several things.  First of all that little tree house that all the photos are of surrounding the map is just a very small portion of the map.  In fact it is just the upper right hand part of the near area.

So now you're asking, "Well Swoosh, what's the rest of that structure then?"
Take a good look at it -- doesn't it strike you as odd that it looks like the artwork for this year's addition to Dollywood's Adventure Mountain? Multiple towers with very narrow "paths or perhaps 'obstacles'" in between them -- I'm sure it cannot be too much of a coincidence that DW's Adventure Mountain also has a kiddie area nearby.

Also add in the fact that there were LOTS of rumors that WWB's area was going to be used for an Adventure Mountain... things seem to be falling into place.

...and just throwing this out there... do you think that circle thing could be a carousel?

Is Albert the boy from the front gate?  If so he was working on the 50th anniversary Saturday at the front gate.
