Received some interesting news today.  Apparently they’ve not really done any work on the new furniture store.  Also there appears to have been some widening of the Hill Street path down Cardiac Hill.

It's also the 30th anniversary of Thunderation.  Hopefully it will get the TLC it's been needing for a while!  Less bumpy please.

I would get as many rides in as you can while you still can.

So is that a hint that Thunderation 2.0 is on the board?  :)

Just a removal.  I wouldn’t count on a replacement.

FITH has been on the way out for years. I understand the sentiment, but there's no changing this decision. It's good to let the park know what you like and appreciate though. Hopefully it's not too late to make sure the new ride hits the same notes.

Yes. I'd say a more realistic petition is to have SDC ensure they respect the original by saving and reusing/recreating as much of the original ride's theme and scenery as possible and not make it a generic looking ride for the new version being built. It should also keep the wide appeal of the original which is where MRF was a mis-step from the comments I have seen/heard over the past couple years since it opened.

The only thing that might be brought over is the mural. All the scenery is brand new

OFF TOPIC: SFSTL vs SFOT
STL has a better wooden coaster collection.
STL has the better Freeze (especially now that oT’s goes fwd not backwards)
Both parks have dead areas.
STL has better parking
Both have terrible ride ops
OT is horrible to get to with all of the construction and not the best neighborhood
Honestly the coaster collections are pretty similar, OT does have Titan which gives it the edge barely.

Oh bless your heart

Sorry kid FITH has been on borrowed time for awhile now.
You’d be better served trying to save Flooded Mine… oops that wasn’t supposed to be public knowledge yet

Well this is a complete surprise.

At ACE’s No Coaster Con this weekend it was announced that a new attraction would be built on the remnants of the now defunct go kart track under under the Boss’ queue line.  No other details were provided but they did go right after SFOG who just announced a new Skyline P’Sghetti dueling kiddie coaster, so who knows.

That change was done because they rerouted the entry/exit lanes for the cars

While we visit Dollywood yearly, I don’t think I took any photos of the new entry area new traffic flow.

The big changes were they moved the trams further out into what used to be ADA Parking.  They also moved the security screening out into that lot and you go through it before you even get to ticketing.
