Construction/Rumors / Re: SDC's 2020 Project (Thread #2)

Fire in the Hole and Flooded Mine both looked better than in the past. Almost everything seemed to be working in the Flooded Mine.
Cinnamon bread was good as always. The lemon blueberry cookies were also great. However, our new favorite thing in the park was the new cinnamon bread bread pudding at the Smokehouse. It was amazing. The other food was also good there. The portions were a great size. My wife and I split the 2 meat meal and it was plenty.
Overall a great first day.

From their walkthrough video, it also looks like a new small entertainment area is on the hillside behind cokes and floats.

If you need to book dates through mid-August, go check the reservation site now... you might surprised what you can book.

Also, my 4 year old was going to get a free season pass from the special promotion this year.  Will she still be able to get that?

You should have gotten the paper voucher that looks like a season pass/bring a friend pass. You use the number on it just like a season pass to make a reservation. You still have to take a birth certificate and the voucher to redeem it for the actual pass. The Adventure passes have also been extended through all of 2021, not just June 13th like Season Passes.

Are the guest passes going to be the same for 2020?  My family buys 2 season passes and use the guest passes for 2 kids.  This could make our season unusable if the guest passes aren't valid.

Yes. The guest passes have a number just like the season passes do. You can enter them in the reservation system to save a spot too. There is also the bonus one that is good for most of the season. It is already loaded in the reservation system and you can choose to add it to the reservation when you add your season pass.

So if you do not use your SP between now and Dec 31 2020, it will rollover automatically into a complete SP for 2021??    Or if you use it say March 2021 does that nullify the rollover after June 13 2021??

From the FAQ, it looks like you have to call.

the rollover to next year is automatic., Will be good to June 1st..  Still a full year pass.. from now until then..

They are also giving the option to roll it over to a full 2021 pass (no 2020 visits) without fees or any potential price increase. Otherwise they are valid through June 13, 2021.

Dollywood has now announced their opening on the 15th. I haven't been to Dollywood before... is it quite a bit smaller? It looks like they are only selling around 2700 tickets per day vs the 4800 that SDC is. Maybe they are placing single day tickets and season pass reservations in two different allotments?

Looks like they aren't selling TrailBlazer passes anymore.
They are still selling 25 Super Splash Passes per day for WW.

So far, the reservation system has worked well when I've tried it. However, there are a few things that I wish they would add. I'm guessing that these will be added at some point and I realize that it was just released.

• Once you have made your 2 reservations there isn't a way for you to see what the level of availability anymore. So if you are considering cancelling one reservation and switching to a different day there isn't a way to make sure that day is actually available. Phone customer service is also unable to see date availability. When I spoke to them it sounded like they were using the same online system as everyone else.

• It would be great to be able to see a list of your reservations. We made, cancelled and remade reservations yesterday as we worked through our schedule. It would be reassuring to be able to see a list of our active reservations. They also aren't sending out cancellation confirmation emails when you cancel a reservation.

Looks like they are selling 4800 SDC tickets per day and 1056 WW tickets per day.
I wonder if season pass reservations are from a separate block or if they are subtracted from the number of daily tickets. Or it might also be a combination of the two.
