I think the park just grew a little too fast.
You have to spend at least 3 days there to see it all.

Other Parks / Six Flags Magic Mountain Trip
« on: April 06, 2008, 12:59:57 AM »
Over spring break, I got the pleasure of going to LA.
Once I flew in, my main want was to visit Magic Mountain.
(I have a six flags season pass)
When I found the park, it was just opening up.
I was EXCITED.
When I got into the park, the crowds were pretty low. I wasn't suprised. It was the morning.
First, I rode Tatsu. AWESOME!
Superman: Ultimate flight has nothing on this. There is a part there you flip upside down while falling and then go flat upside down for like 30 secinds straight! AMAZING!
Second, I rode Revolution. It was nice to ride the first looper in america. It was pretty smooth
for such an old ride. I notices an ACE sign at the entrance saying all this official blah blah blah.
Then, I rode Golliath and SCREAM! Golliath is a really tall hyper that goes 80 mph at the first drop. pretty fun.
Scream is a rough floorless that gave me a triple headache. Imagine Wildfire while getting your head hit with a hammer. Thats how it felt.

I was mad, because X2 wasn't opening for another week. I would miss it.

I spent the rest of the week at the beach in Malibu. Pretty fun trip.
Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor recieves a 3 out of five from me. thats a 60% or D-.

Any new updates on what WW's new entrance is shaping up to be?
you can't see anything from the main road, and the back way all you see is trees and the bermuta tryangle if you look REALLY hard!

I don't see why SDC and Dollywood shouldn't share Season Passes. They are a "chain".
I doubt whatever the reason, it's not money. Six Flags allows season passes holders to
go to every SF in the US, Canada, and Mexico, and SF is famous for being a penny pincher.
I went to dollywood last fall. MM was pretty sweet, but there was nothing else really to do there, so i just rode MM 3 times and left the park. Pretty lame if ask me :-[

The only thing with the boss is that its a really good coaster that has alot of bad days.
It just depends on the sortof coaster you enjoy.
Personaly, i think theres nothing wrong with the Screamin Eagle, and the boss is getting retracked a little last I heard, that might fix some of the insane rattleyness

Yeah six Flags is usually good with water parks.
Hurricane Harbor in St. Louis is amazing!

Umm isn't it little cruel to call the name of a ride lame when it's namesake just died? In case everybody didn't know, the old stunt man died. I'm sure it was heart related since the guy has a bad health history, and he was that age where heart attack is common. Besides the name being a little strange for a natural colored, compact coaster, the ride will be great, since SF is good at planning with GCI. Also, whoever it was that said they might loose a woodie there, you guys are WAY off. Especially thinking that the Boss woul go. Six Flags spent a TON of money on that, and there are some people who enjoy it, after all, the line can get pretty long. Screaming Eagle won;t go either because it's a classic woodie with lot's of good airtime, and a ex record braker. Six Flags is a company with hitory of bankruptcy etc. After all, theres alot of parks for them to worry about.

^I've never been able to sit through a whole show at Echo Hollow. The shows just seem boring there. All the other shows in the park are entertaining though ;D

Was WW attendance down a whole bunch this year?
Two new rides in a year for a Water Park that seems to get TOO big crowds seems
kindof strange. And ever since the CC thing I've just been wondering, has all this slide tower stuff been confirmed?

Where on earth are they going to put them? I hope there's room behind the water play fort, cause it would be a shame if they took any of the current slides out, they're all pretty good.
I change my mind about wanting WW to get a ProBowl.
if you go to www.proslide.com, click on Tornados, and watch the new Tornado Tantrums video, you'll see thats the thind that would fit perfect in a small space. Name idea? I think maybe

1. SPLASH Lagoon

2. Typoon

3. Twister Lagoon or Hurricane Lagoon

Well yes the name of a stunt man probably doesn't go well with a woodie. I could see a red-white-and blue Euro fighter with multiple interversions being called this. But the track lay out is great, and it's very compact. Compact Woodies are always cool because it look like your going to hit the tracks. This happens once in The Boss.

I don't think SDC ever really liked Buzz Saw Falls. It's a good concecpt, but it never really caught on. Now if you search "Water coaster" anywhere, you get LIM Launched tube slides like Deluge at Six Flags Kentucky kingdom, I great ride by te way.

Mystery Mine is an awesome roller coaster in general. The themeing is consistant, and easy to understand. The final interversion almost stops, and it's a great finale. My mother is a very old woman, and she hate most rattley coasters. This one starts out jerky, but it gets smoother towards the middle. It ROX!
