I would not be surprised if one day they decide having the gun on the train robbery will be deemed too controversial and get rid of that, perhaps get rid of a robbery completely.

What I would say is get FITH working like it should be, but build another indoor dark ride similar but with modern tech and more thrills.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Fire In the Hole/Flooded Mine

Fire in the hole needs some work.  I noticed at the start of the year that some of the lights inside were replaced with blue lights, I assume LED lights.  For example the baldknobber setting the bridge on fire was always holding a red light, which makes sense, as its supposed to be fire.  He now has a blue light, which looks stupid.  Today riding it NONE of the music or sound effects appeared to be working.  The only one was the part about putting on the pants.  The bridge collapse noise was gone, the laughing sound was gone, no train whistle.

This year for sure, and I think part of last year I have noticed the saw blade no longer moves in FM.  On the part where the guy sets off the TNT which blows water up and the flood of water comes down no longer works like it used to.  The flood of water comes in, but we dont see the big explosion of water first anymore.  Outside as you come back in, they don't have the cannon exploding in the water anymore.

We went this morning and it was pretty busy trying to get in, lots and lots of school groups.  There were a lot of kids but we still managed to get most rides in pretty much walk on.  FITH had a little bit of a wait because they were only running 2 trains.  WF was starting to back up because they were only running 1 train.  The barn swing was  backed up too because they only had 1 side going.  We rode TT on the way out and it was about a 15-20 minute wait.  We left about 2pm or a little after.

Having ridden on just about all the spots on that ride, I will say the back car seems the most fun.  I usually avoid the back cars because they are more rough, especially on the tnt.

I have to go to Branson next Wednesday for "work" to meet up with one of my employees.  I am thinking I may go Wednesday for a while before I have to meet up with him.

Yes, TNT seems like it is getting VERY rough.  They really need to work on that.  That spot in the tunnel is starting to get so bad I can't take it anymore

I bet today is a good day to be there.  Looks like most rides are open per the app, even TT.  PK is closed of course.

Yep, that's why we should enjoy these slow days while they last.

A few things I'd like to slightly (maybe more) disagree with.

The photo op on the way in is not a forced photo op.  It is in the line, but they aren't forcing people to take photos and I haven't had any issues with them letting us skip it.  They've been very very polite and friendly about it.  A notable change from the way they were in the past.  (oh, and with the new $60 unlimited photo downloads in a year they are now offering, I won't be skipping it anymore either)

Second, the ride is not a lemon.  it is not the ride's fault when you are choosing to be there on a day that it never gets out of the low 40's temperature wise, and unfortunately that's been true more weekends than not.  And most of opening week as well.

There have been some issues.  All new coasters have them, and especially new models.  Have we forgotten how much downtime Outlaw Run had when it opened, and problems?  A lot.  But no one is calling it a lemon.  And weather has played a major role in them not having an opportunity to sort out some of the small glitches that new rides have.  hard to do when you can't run it because it's to cold to operate.

Out of 4 visits to the park already this year, today was the first day I didn't see it running.  And I didn't expect it to run when the high today was only supposed to be a degree above it's shut down operating temperature.  the other days it ran consistently the whole time I was there.  (well, except for media day, but that's because it was being delayed by cameras and filming, not operations or bugs)

It's normal to take 2-4 months to work all of those little things out of a coaster.  For years now I've strongly recommended people to not plan a trip around one new coaster within the first month or two of it's operating life. Far to great a chance it won't be going for various tuning up issues, and TT is no exception to that rule.  (And for the record I've seen an experienced that with ShieKra at BGT, Manta at Sea World, Outlaw Run here, even Scream at SFMM had a rough first month, and multiple other coasters over the years as well.)

you are right, you are not forced to take photos but you are forced to way until the folks in from of you take their photos before they let you go thru.

The line is to the sign because of the forced photo op at the bottom of the steps

Yes, that REALLY REALLY REALLY annoys me and slows things WAY WAY down.  I am sure hoping they do away with that sooner rather than later.

Makes me wish I was there today.  Instead the starter on my truck decided to die this morning so I got to swap it out in the cold windy weather today.
