So you you have to go to guest services to get the pass every trip?  I just assumed the lanyard came with your pass in the mail.

How do they keep track of your one use per day?  I had just about decided I was going to skip a year but then decided I had to check out the new ride.  I made an impulse purchase and went all in and got the trailblazer pass too.

Would I be correct in assuming that the trailblazer pass this year will not work on the new river ride?

I did not get that offer and I am in the Tulsa area.  I have also not yet bought season passes.  I am debating on it or skipping a year.  I am leaning toward skipping a year since I waited so long and it appears preferred parking is sold out.

It was a mad house Monday.  We got there about 1:30 and were able to ride WF and PK, lines were too long for us everywhere else and we left about 3:30.  At that time there were hordes of people still flooding in of course.

Last year I thought about coming up for NYE this year.  So I would be a maybe.  Is SDC still open NYE and NY this year?  It seems the last couple of years they did it they were really slow, so that is why I wanted to go.

Yea, the back train is much more rough than the front one when coming up the other sides of the drops and when coming back into the station after the last drop.  I always try to get in one of the first 3 rows.

« on: October 06, 2019, 04:58:34 PM »
We just got home from our trip up.  We arrived at around 4:30 Friday and we walked right on to TT.  We then did the FM and headed down the hill toward the GE area and the pumpkin cluster.  Walked thru there a little after 5 when I assume they opened.  It was not all that crowded down there yet and they had some stuff going on but we did not really pay attention.  Walked up the path then back out toward the river area. We then walked on the rest of the coasters.  We sat around for a bit then when it got dark we walked back down the path and by this time it was jam packed down there and all the way up out of GE and toward FM. We went over to the other side of the park which was practically a ghost town.  Walked on PK a couple of times then headed toward the exit.  We left at around 8pm and there was a horde of people coming in at that point.

Got there a little after opening Saturday, walked on to all the rides again.  Last ride we rode was TT and only waited about 5 minutes for that.  Left about 1pm.   Overall I could really care less about pumpkin nights.  The only good thing I liked about it was it seemed to keep everyone crammed down in that area freeing up the other side of the park.

We thought about going up this morning for an hour or so before leaving town but it was pouring rain so we decided not too.  It appears as if it rained most of the day today so I bet the numbers are real low today.

Forgot to mention, we did the lumberjack show at noon yesterday.  Line was long and we were in line at the frybread place but got in just fine.  I was not all that impressed with it.  I liked it better than the swashbuckling show.  The wife liked swashbuckling but said she was not impressed with this one.

I will be heading up this afternoon.  Will probably get there around 3-4pm and stay until dark.  I am assuming it being a Friday night it will be busier later in the day.  We will then get there at opening tomorrow and stay until it gets too busy then head back home.  On a Saturday with the evening hours, are the crowds usually light early in the day and it shifts to later in the day so people can do the pumpkin nights stuff?

I have been in Utah all week and am thinking about going up there tomorrow and Sunday.  I may just wait until next week and go Thursday/Friday or Friday/Saturday.  Looking for less busy days.
