Branson Talk / Liverpool Legends
« on: January 18, 2010, 09:34:39 PM »
Greetings fellow SDC'ers.  I am a big time Beatles fan and have enjoyed the Liverpool Legends there in Branson nearly every time I go to Branson.  What in the world is going on though?  They just moved into the Starlite Theater and now they have moved to "The Mansion".  They have been voted best new act, best band, and visitor's choice awards yet they cannot seem to stay place in one location.  I thought they had struck gold when they moved from the Caravelle to the Starlite, but I think Bill Medley is now taking their spot.  Can't find much information yet, but why in the world do they move around when they are obviously one of the better shows in Branson?  Anyone from the area have any ideas?

The Christmas dinner Cowboy Campfire thing was pretty neat.  My entire family attended that when we went to SDC over Christmas.  The "Trail of Lights" wasn't all that great though.....bumper to bumper and some of the themes made me say out loud a few times..."what were they thinking?"  It's pretty neat to drive around the area though.  Behind the stage was pretty cool.  After 40 years of Branson, I never knew what was behind the "mill".

Same here on Mutton Holler.  I miss the "long" drive from the strip to SOTH.  I miss seeing "Jim Lane's" cabin.  But above all, I miss that feeling you got back then.  Today it is about the dollar sign.  Back then, you really thought you were stepping back in time.  Alright....now I'm depressed!  THANKS A LOT!   :D

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Re: Old Time Christmas at SDC
« on: December 22, 2009, 07:47:37 PM »
Was there Sunday the 20th and SDC was pretty full. Temps were OK until the sun went down....then it got butt cold!  I think someone in my group heard that there was 12 thousand.  All I know is lines were way too long for me.  The train line was incredible! Was anyone else there Sunday?

Saturday night we spent at SOTH and saw the "Cowboy Christmas" and that was pretty good.  The trail of lights took us a little over an hour to drive.

Should be an interesting Saturday night in Stillwater.  Cowboys will have to play near perfect ball to beat the longhorns.  I'm hoping Saturdays performance if full of treat's and not tricks!  GO COWBOYS!!!!!!

I didn't even think to look, were any of you SDC'ers at the game in Stillwater a couple of weeks ago?  I was there....we could have met up and had a cold one!

OK....any suggestions where to start?  I usually just stay at a motel so I'm not "in the know" as far as these things go.  Any help is appreciated!

Howdy fellow SDCers!  I'm planning a Christmas trip this year for my entire family.  Where can a person obtain accommodations for around 11 people?  I have found places with 3 bedrooms but that is about it.  We are needing 5 bedrooms...probably get by with 4 but would rather have 5.  Are there any in existence?  Thanks for your help!
