Branson Talk / Christmas in the Ozarks (Branson) TV special
« on: December 25, 2013, 12:44:32 PM »
Christmas in the Ozarks (Branson) was on Daystar DirecTV 369 this morning. It repeats again at 8 pm and midnight today. It is hosted by Guy Penrod and features the Presleys, Clay Cooper, the Hughes Brothers, Tony Orlando, Christmas on the Trail, SDC, and more.  Looks like it was filmed in 2011 and 2012 because the SDC segment doesn't include anything about "It's a Wonderful Life".

« on: November 20, 2013, 11:22:40 PM »
Got an email tonight inviting me to participate in another Herschend survey. Topic was Midwestern attractions. Most of the survey ended up being about water parks and White Water. One of the questions asked why I had not been to White Water recently.

When I finished the survey, it sent me to this page:

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Small Fire during Dickens Christmas Carol
« on: November 17, 2013, 09:44:25 AM »
Saw online at KY3 this morning that there was a small fire on stage during a performance of Dickens on Saturday. You know how the ghost of Christmas present uses a wand that shoots fireballs? Well, apparently the fireball hit a curtain on the set and it caught fire. Staff used fire extinguishers to put out the fire and the Opera House was evacuated.

Here's the link:

Guess that's a good reason to pay attention to the safety announcement at the beginning of the show about during an emergency using the side doors to exit to the unsavory part of London.....

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Outlaw Run on the Today show
« on: March 16, 2013, 07:54:46 AM »
In her newscast on the Saturday Today show this morning, Jenna Wolfe showed a video of the ride on Outlaw Run. At the end of the story, she told the producers that she wanted to be sent to Missouri to ride the coaster and report on it for the Today show. Lester Holt and Erica Hill also commented on the video and thought it was a good idea for Jenna to go ride the coaster.  Too bad they just said the coaster was in Missouri -- not specific at all about where it was.
