Branson Talk / 10 million dollar family attraction coming near Dixie Stampede

The Silver Fountain Inn near the Dixie Stampede is being torn down to make way for a new 10 million dollar, first of its kind, family attraction. Supposed to provide 35 new jobs.

There's a press conference on October 6th. Some folks on the 1branson board say that this is a new HFE project.

The Rowdy Beaver has closed. From discussion on the 1branson board it sounds as though the closing was due to back taxes owed by the previous owners.

During Bluegrass and BBQ the Willis Clan was one of the groups that performed in Red Gold. While we were there for 2 of their shows there was a film crew there filming the Willis Clan for their TLC show, the Willis Family. The episode with the SDC performance aired this week. It repeats again on Monday June 22 at 7 am on TLC. The episode has 1 song from their performance at SDC.

This was a limited 7 episode series that began in May.

The Branson police went to Celebration City on the morning of June 17th and discovered 2 buildings had been vandalized -- the gift shop and the diner.

Branson Talk / A Very Barry Branson TV show 2/5

A Very Barry Branson (Barry Williams aka Greg Brady) TV show debuts tonight at 8 pm on GAC. Hopefully, this is a more positive spin on Branson than Branson Famous (the Baldknobbers). Barry was on the Today show yesterday and spoke very favorably about Branson and living in Branson.

There are several paragraphs about SDC with quotes from Brad Thomas and Lisa Lau. The park did hit its 1.9 million visitor goal and did have a record attendance day of 24,000.
