Construction/Rumors / Re: SDC's 2019 Project(s) and Park Developments

I was at Six Flags St. Louis last weekend and they had "that smell." I tried so hard to explain it to my husband and he just kept saying, "Ok, sure..."

Smh.

I tested the links on my phone and they worked but I just tried it on my desktop and they didn't.

Let me do some playing around with them and see if I can fix it.

I was digging through my phone and found these!!!

Those look like they might be awesome.  For some reason when I downloaded them none of the files had extensions, so I'm not sure what type of files they are.  mp3's?

They are mp3's.

I backed them up to Google Drive so I'll never lose them again!

Let me know if the attachments work. I'm pretty sure I have most, if not all of them.  ;D

That would be very exciting to visit!

I went to Six Flags St. Louis's Holiday in the Park and they had half of the park blocked off too... That wasn't the case last year. We figured it was to cut down on decorating costs but that also meant several rides were closed. It was rather disappointing considering the St. Louis park isn't very big to begin with.

I was there yesterday. It didn't seem too crowded except for Midtown. We didn't get to see any shows though because the lines were too long. I guess that's where everybody was. Once the first parade was over, the park was pretty much empty.

They were just wooden boxes, not like a fancy coffin you would buy from a funeral home.

This is a bit of an older post but I'm finally getting back to reading/participating in the forum. I came across this post and decided I'd give an update after the fact.

My cousin competed in the coffin challenge at Six Flags St. Louis. It wasn't much of a challenge lol

They got bathroom breaks hourly, food delivered to them and could bring phones, laptops and pretty much whatever they wanted to kill time as long as they stayed in the coffin. Did I mention, the only part of the body that was covered was from the shoulders down? They did have some challenges where the scare zone characters came to taunt them and some fake out challenges where they convinced you a tarantula was crawling on you while blindfolded, told you you were eating brains, dumb stuff like that. "Surprisingly" all the contestants completed the challenge.

But it was a great way to get people talking, I'll give them that.

My husband's birthday and my birthday are about 2 weeks apart so we always take a trip in between to celebrate. This year we are going to Jefferson City, Mo. We're both huge history nerds so we're pretty excited.

I'll be heading to the Myrtle Beach area in May when my sister has her first baby!!! 😍

My in-laws always spend a week in Branson every summer and invite us. That'll probably be sometime in June or July.

My husband and I take a trip for our anniversary every year. We haven't decided yet where to go, but we have until October to decide. If anyone has a place they love to visit that could be a simple weekend trip, share your ideas! I would love some inspiration! Last year we went to Six Flags Great America.

The weekend before Thanksgiving I always participate in a craft show in Ozark, Mo.

My in-laws are thinking about "skipping Christmas" this year and want to take a trip with immediate family instead of stressing out over the gifts and all the parties. So far I have no idea where they want to go yet.

I'm sure there will be quit a few weekend trips for SDC throughout the year. In 2017, we decided to make it a point to attend every festival like I used to do when I was growing up. We're hoping to do that again this year.

I had previously mentioned before that I would be going to Six Flags Great America. We got back around 12:30 this morning.

It was a lot of fun! We rode almost all of the roller coasters and this is a perfect place for anyone who loves roller coasters! I was very impressed by almost all of them.

It was cold outside but at least it wasn't raining like the day before. We didn't have to stand in lines for very long all morning. But when we came back after getting lunch, it was packed!

We rode Superman Ultimate Flight. On that ride, you sit in the seat then it rotates so you're facing the ground and you ride the ride like how Superman flies. We were about to come back into the station and were in the holding area where you wait for the car in front of you to leave. We hear an announcement about "technical difficulties." We had to wait for almost 10 minutes, staring at the floor, until they got the ride up and running again. We got a free Flash Pass because of it, which got us on Goliath without having to wait the 85 minutes that the sign said it would take!

Goliath is definitely my favorite ride there. Its made by the same company as Outlaw Run and has the wooden structure with metal tracks. I do like Outlaw Run more though... We needed to start heading home after Goliath. We saw some of the Fright Fest parade before leaving but there was no way to really watch it because the crowd was insane.

I have all of the pictures up on my Facebook page. If you want to see them, you can add me as a friend:

(My husband doesn't want the album made public. He has some people he'd rather not associate with through Facebook anymore... It's a long story.)

The pictures are showing up HUGE on my computer after I posted them. If its showing up like that for everyone else, can someone tell me how to make them smaller?

Swoosh had asked me to get some pictures of the progress of the entrance while I was there yesterday.

While I stood in line for the bathroom, I sent my husband over to get pictures. The big peep hole near the skillet, you were just looking at a wall with a door or something (like behind the red scaffolding in the first picture.)

He got some pictures through the holes in the fence. He was going to get some from the TNT queue. He said there were people running through trying to get on TNT pushing him out of the way so he gave up.

When you're walking across the bridge by the glassblower, you look right at a new part of the building. Right where the magic shop used to be.

I'll be there with my parents and husband Oct 12. We'll only be there for a few hours. We're only going to be there long enough for the events specific to the festival (special craftsman and a few shows.) We have evening tickets for Moses or else we would be spending all day at SDC.

Would you mind getting some progress shots of the new building at Time Traveler’s Entrance?   There is a big peep hole near skillet across from Christmas Shop.

I have the pictures posted in the "2018 Park Development" thread.
