I am all for them improving the festivals, bringing in new blood, new ideas. Seeing the Silver Dollar City Times 2 weeks ago shows me they really are working on making the festivals better. That is something my husband and I appreciate very much. I am a rider but my hubby can't ride the bigger rides so when it's the two of us we do a lot of shopping and listening to the many show choices. I really hope they continue to keep the familiar groups/bands that we all have come to associate with our favorite place but the addition of fresh faces is welcome. The last thing we want to happen is to become bored with the same festivals and daily acts year after year. Glad they addressing this concern.

We are huge fans of the "Wildcat" woodie that is sitting lonely at CC! Wish there was a way to get that one to SDC. I'm a huge fan of the wooden roller coaster. It has a feel that steel can never give. But then I am a fan of any roller coaster!

We've stayed there and it's great. The beds are comfy. The rooms are super clean. It's quiet. Getting ready to book for 2 more weekends here in just a few minutes. You cannot go wrong folks. It's a great place to stay.

We have recommended Homestay Inn to many folks. Hubs has told everyone at Schreiber's that he works with to stay with you if they're looking for a place or a new regular Branson "hotel home".

A big THANK YOU to Paige and her employees for giving us a great place to rest our heads while we are in Branson!

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Re: Labor day at SDC

Used to be dead over Labor Day weekend. Not the case any more - usually. Traffic getting into SDC can be ridiculous but once in things seems to move at a good pace. If you're shopping patience will be needed at the outlet malls, The Landing and downtown Branson.

We'll be there w/our daughter "Diana Gail", who is a member of this board, and her in-laws. We also have reservations at "Homestay". We'll be staying through Monday night. It's good to know we'll have a nice, clean room for the times my fibro/cfs/etc flares up. The rooms at "Homestay" seem to be very clean and comfy.
