General Silver Dollar City Talk / Thunderation running one train
« on: August 11, 2009, 07:58:19 AM »
When we visited SDC August 6 Thunderation's line was down the stairs and they were running only one train while the other coasters were running two.  Why were they running only one?  I didn't wanna wait so I didn't get to ride it.

The Sky-Way accident occurred July 26,1978 because they victims were reportedly rocking the car.  We rode that ride at least a day before the accident several times mom said I loved being up there.

The mine train in the photo with the Sky-Way is side b that got removed for Ninja. We rode that in 1978 as well.  Mom hated the Sky Chuter parachute and held me back in the seat as we dropped. The Sky Chuter got relocated to Six Flags Great Adventure because it was closed frequently due to high winds at SFSTL.

SFSTL had a walk thru attraction similar to Grandfather's house called Angle Tangle later Tiltmore Hotel the building that housed it is now used for season pass processing.   SFSTL used to be called Six Flags Over Mid America.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / railroad crossing near waterboggan
« on: August 10, 2008, 10:00:31 PM »
After we left the waterboggan we headed towards the front of the park to get something to eat but the crossing gates were closed for a long time before the train got there. Why would they close them for so long?

Batman at SFSTL has rust all over the track.   Six Flags St. Louis doesn't always take care of their coasters very well.

I hope to if we go back in the fall. I would have to leave my glasses in one of those green cases or they might fall off and I am farsighted so I need them.

Are there any photos or drawings of the layout of Buzzsaw Falls?  I made a version of it in RCT3 but I don't think it's close.

That element right before the on ride camera scared me the most.  Is there someone in the station dressed up like a scientist talking before the train is dispatched?

Last week the line for Fire in The Hole was back by firemen's graveyard and I thought that was the result of Powder Keg breaking down.

Were the trains ever painted red?  I remember a commerical from the early 80s showing what I thought was FITH with a red train plunging down a drop with fog or mist around it.    Why were those laws about loose items passed anyway?

I remember that one.  I went on it a ton when we visited White Water in the 1980s.  Too bad they got rid of it.
