We had the same experience at the Georgia Aquarium in March, family of 3, our package came with 4 tickets, nobody wanted the extra ticket, even those walking up to the ticket window.

Not theme park, but we were flying for our 10th anniversary to Hawaii last summer, gentlemen in the AA Admiral's club in LA came up to us and offered us his first class seats that he couldn't use because of a last minute business thing. Despite his and our best efforts, unless he physically boarded the plane and then swapped they were unable to let us fly in his seats. Would have been a great upgrade, but we still had a great time.

Well, Gerstlauer has opened a new coaster at Hansa Park in Germany. It's got an enclosed tower lift (hmmmm....) and it't vertical along with the vertical drop that you see with euro fighters lime Mystery Mine. Here's the gimmick, as you are going up, there's a freefall backwards before continuing to the apex.  Yes, that's right, the lift is part drop tower. Here's the video, apparently they opened it up in a hurry and the theming will be completed in the off season.  The drop is in the dark.

This would fit with a first in the US marketing thing, possibly use the water bogging superstructure and the Flooded mine are  could add the over water effect, if FM was to go, wish parts could live on in dark segments of a new ride.

The gimmick is just that, not sold on the indoor part, but overall seems like a nice ride.

It's less sad tearing it down than it is watching it rot.

It would have been cool to maybe have some shops around it and sell tickets for rides, almost like a go-kart track. I'd pay to ride it again...

Bingo! Funny, there's a go cart track wasting away, there was an arcade building wasting away. I've said it over and over again that It should have evolved into a  no admission fee entertainment district where things were sold on a per ride or ride pass basis.

It didn't work for Mutton Hollow or Branson USA, I just don't see pay per ride ever working long term.
