Hello all, I haven't posted on here in some time.  I usually just monitor all of the exciting posts that everybody else has.  But I was thinking about the pictures of the construction progress and I have a thought that might just blow this forum wide open.  What if the picture of the "coaster station" is not for the coaster, but for the train instead.  And that the coaster will be an anchor for a larger development all together.  Now discuss that!

Another name for this is an alpine slide.  There used to be a concrete one on Raccoon Mountain in Chattanooga, TN.  I have road it and if you ask my brother it is dangerous and there is nothing that slows you down or keeps you on the track other than your own stupidity.

With some minor tweaking with more scenery on the ride and water canons for the people on the bank(i.e. splash deck) to shoot at the riders, this could be the interactive water shooting ride everybody is talking about.  But the ultimate revenge for the riders would come at the end when they can drench the people who were not paying attention to where they were standing.  I loved this ride at CC.  All they had was a very small warning sign when you walked onto the splash deck.  And if someone was say standing in front of it then people didn't reallize what was going to happen.  Added to that the purposely random waves, it made for some great viewing from afar.

I was told on Thursday 3/26/09 that they were waiting until warmer weather to lay the asphalt on the new lots.  That maybe why they are not done.

I know that this would be almost impossible, but here it goes.  A revamped CC(renamed or whatever).  A special express train leaving from the same depot in SDC but taking new tracks to CC(or whatever).  Stopping at the SDC campground and new HFE resort hotel on the way.  Both parks open in the summer from morning till say 10pm or so.  So what do you say, too much.

We were there on Saturday, Sunday and Thursday.  There was no work being done on any of the days.  I might recall one of the employees telling me that they are postponing working on it.

I just concluded a 3 day spring break SDC trip with the kids. I was told by 2 park employees on different days that they are moving Roaring Falls from CC to the area of Tom Sawyer's Landing.  I don't know how well it will fit, but it is a great ride.  I don't know if it is more fun to ride it or watch unsuspecting people wandering onto the splash deck.
