General Silver Dollar City Talk / An Old Time Christmas

As posted on social media today by SDC, they have officially started hanging lights for Christmas festival, which is 110 days away.

One thing I find interesting is that on the posts they out #159days, which is Christmas Eve. I wonder why they have a countdown to Christmas Eve, especially since they aren't even open.

It has to be weird for workers to start decorating for Christmas in July. You would think that even though they put up such a ridiculous amount of decorations, they could make it work so that they don't need to start hanging them 3.5 months in advance.

Other Parks / Cedar Point

So some members of my family are trying to plan a trip to Cedar Point at some point between June 12 & June 26. Do any members here have any recommendations as to when would be the best time to go and how many days we will want to spend there? We love coasters and would like to ride everything. Would a Fast Land pass be worth it ever?

We have a thread for attraction ideas at SDC, so I thought why not have this thread for White Water also. Also, we haven't done any White Water discussions since August 2014.

Post any ideas you have for rides or other developments that you would like to see happen  at White Water. Also, you can post anything that you don't want to see happen at the park.

Other Parks / Oceans of Fun 2015

Worlds of Fun announced new addition to Oceans of Fun today. I would have thought that Worlds of Fun would have gone for a new roller coaster since Prowler was built a while ago before doing two water park additions in three years. Maybe a new coaster next year? I wonder if Valleyfair has any announcements coming up for next year since Worlds of Fun announced their plans.
