Or it's just there has not been any good pictures to get until today. These things have appeared fast since last Sunday, when they were focusing on steel work in the station, including the crossover stairs. Also the maintenance bay has gone vertical since last Sunday. It's been burning hot here so we've been having to take it slow at the park and top off on lemonade generously.

I rode NightFlight Expedition a few times and it is a really fun ride system. I don't really see how you could keep the shooting aspect of Flooded Mine with it. I think you could do a really cool ride based on Flooded Mine, but I also think the park would need another target shooting ride. We really miss having one at Dollywood.

It is pretty interesting thinking about the attractions that SDC doubled down on that didn't really stick at Dollywood. Gyser Gultch/Firemans's Landing compared to Raintree Forest come to mind.

I know that's a company site, but that's pretty good. I like that they are returning to the idea of the outside loop between coasters instead of sticking with the one way in one way out stuff.

I'm ok with the marketing, after all, they have to talk it up. I think many YouTubers do worse with the A/B testing to see which click bait, over the top thumbnail will draw the most clicks. And many of these arguments aren't new. Wildfire and Powder Keg settled the dust kicked in up the late 90's. There is bound to be discontent. Can't make everyone happy.

Will it have onboard audio or any special features on the train?

Doesn't look like it, nothing mentioned about it in the pathfinder about it or the spec sheet they released. Just the basics with these trains. I'm ok with that too.

Cant wait to see how the spaghetti bowl by American Plunge comes together, really have had nothing else like it in the park.

I was wondering if that might have something to do with it or not, when I went by it looked like his right steer tire was out and off the road. Looked like it might need a rotator to lift him back on the road and fix the tire.

If your talking about that blue man lift, that thing is always there.

I always wondered why they built a roller coaster so close (or is it actually on top?) to the cave. It's amazing that the foundations of the ride have lasted as long as they have.

I know its close, but can't say for sure its right on top of cave path.The sinkhole to the entrance room is just to the lift hill's left. Durning the lantern tour, they used to say one of the original idea for TNT was to literally blast into the cave again, and run the ride thru it, but they thought better of it and designed TNT with a  man made tunnel instead. The vast majority of the ride is probably sound, but all it takes is slowly shifting ground in a very hard to reach spot, and it would make for some very troublesome repairs.

I went out this morning and picked up a Pathfinder to add to my collection. The more I look at the details, the POV, and after talking with some of the employees, the happier I am that my guess was wrong. I should have went with my gut from a month ago about the ride envelope leaving the station, as it turns out it was not an optical illusion. This thing actually looks like a really cool mine train.

I never have really bought into the idea that TNT is was closing because of the lawsuit. It sits on top of the cave. Ground is not as static is we would like to believe. Something happened during the summer when Time Traveler was being built to were the tunnel was riding great one week, and it was almost "The Boss" bad the next.  It was a jarring change, and it has not been the same sense. Ive helped repair a lot of public utilities that broke because of shifting ground, and what ever happened in the tunnel is not a cheap or easy fix. I think the seeds for this ride were planted the summer Time Traveler was built.

That is funny. I look at it like this. The park would ask itself the same question we asked ourselves playing Bullfrog's Themepark or RCT: "What do I need to build,to draw guest in to sell more merch and drinks, that I don't already have, and our regional neighbors don't have?" A wing coaster would seem to fit that bill.

To me it comes down to which flavor of wing coaster it is, because they have built a launched variant of the Big Dipper before. Seems like though to get good capacity out of a Big Dipper it would need to be blocked like a wild mouse, or FITH, or a Gerstlauer spinner. It would really need to be able to load and dispatch two trains at once. (This is where Buzzsaw Falls and the original FITH really dropped the ball, they could both load two trains at once but they had no downstream "ready" block for the second train after dispatch) I think a 4 row Stryker would move more people with fewer complications. I could be way wrong though. Fun to think about.

And let's be honest here, yes the park will lose its records, but Outlaw needs new trains and a retrack (IBox conversion) job like what was done for LR at Dollywood.

Stay off the even seats, and you will fine on Outlaw Run  . I do prefer the Texas Giant trains, but that will never happen on Outlaw Run, not after the summer of 2013. Besides, as it is, many of us regulars hold Outlaw as the best, unhinged night ride in the park, if not the state.

As a local who is there practically every week, tomorrow looks like a good day to... stay home and catch the announcement on YouTube and hit the wave pool and Pipeline Plunge in the evening. The heat and humidity this week has been brutal. I can marathon Time Traveler with the best of them, but even this heat test my limits.
