Construction/Rumors / Re: SDC’s 2024 Project(s) and Park Developments

Did anyone else notice the LARGE roller coaster in the background of the concept art? Maybe they're hinting at the next big coaster for the park! Obviously, that's just speculation but I don't think they would go out of their way to put it there if it didn't have any significance.

Looking at those pictures, do you think this is going to be more similar to the original FITH than not? I was worried with RMC involved that we might have some more daring track maneuvers but that little dip and the drop in the back of that photo doesn't seem too crazy.

While honestly it's doubtful I'd really like to see a mild drop track or slight tilt track. Nothing to make it more intense or thrilling per se but just some cool effects to add to the story and experience of the ride. With that said though I've got a feeling it will be pretty similar to the original, just a bit more "modern feeling".

Update, rode Fire in the Hole today and there's a new sign at the beginning of the ride that says volunteers needed!

They posted the same exact picture to Instagram for a second time today. Very curious as to what they're doing

I played with the exposure and brightness of the image to see if there were any hidden messages and sadly I didn't find any. However, there is a faint shape of what looks like a girl on the cover of the book. This could be absolutely nothing but still fun to speculate! https://quickshare.samsungcloud.com/qoOxTHyefAnO

The first thing that popped up in my mind was Diving Bell 2.0

Would absolutely love to see something like this!!!

I will say the Gurstlaur trains are so much better on the two Texas RMC's. Wish there was a way for outlaw run to get something similar but I don't expect to have any "normal" RMC trains if they are in charge of the project. Fingers crossed they will be nice and comfortable!

I know you've got a lot more insight than I do and I'm not disregarding your statement at all but the "out and back" part of the clearing was all freshly cut trees from what I saw. Maybe it'll be the new for Spring 2022 Giga Crate Coaster!!! 8) (Chech their Instagram for the joke lol)

At the park today and was riding outlaw run, there is some clearing going on off to the right and a pretty good size, from this clearing there is a path of trees being cleared almost like an out and back style layout for a coaster! Can't get any pictures, it's something you have to see for yourself, probably won't be for 2022 but looks very exciting  ;D

My dream would be to see a large-scale flying coaster either by B&M or Vekoma with multiple "lie" elements incorporated into the ride!!! Could fit into almost any theme in the park and (if it's Vekoma) would most likely have dark ride elements included in the ride! This thing could soar through the woods using the terrain to its advantage and would be an amazing addition to the lineup seeing as they don't have anything that sits under the track! Personally, I could see this being an almost perfect addition to the park and it would draw in a lot of crowds as there wouldn't be anything like it anywhere nearby!

Just putting this out there, I know it doesn't have a big chance of happening. Imagine a B&M flying coaster that further built on the theme of wildfire!!! That flew through the woods (with a couple hiccups in the plan ie. Pretzel loop or other cool inversions). I feel like this would add allot to their lineup since they don't have anything of an invert style and there aren't any flying coasters near by! I believe that or a hyper would be the best "next big coaster" for the park even though it doesn't have a big chance of happening. This would just be sooo cool!!!

Construction/Rumors / Re: Future SDC Development Speculation (Long-term)
« on: August 21, 2019, 05:58:39 PM »
Revisiting my post above and to combine some thoughts I posted from the 2020 thread:

IF SDC were to invest in a Mack or B&M Hyper/Giga terrain coaster on their next big project, this coaster is a good example on how they could thoughtfully lay it out using the trees and terrain they have past WF/PK along the railway and/or towards the parking lot.

After finally getting out east to experience Fury 325 a couple months ago at Carowinds I would love to see SDC get one at some point.

I've always thought it could be so cool if they added something like this that went along the train tracks or just in that general area! And imagine that night ride!!!

Found out that there is land clearing behind firemans landing as well. Could this possibly be for a future project? Or is it just for the rapids?

A recap on the top three possibilities from what we know:

#1 Helix-esque coaster with possibly the most inversions or fastest speed. A first being the steepest vertical drop on a Mack Mega Launch Coaster. Expect incredible G-forces and/or airtime.

#2 As mentioned before a while back, this could still possibly be the first true Mack Dive Coaster using their new Big Dipper cars. While that alone being a first, it may also include the fact that it would be the longest Dive Coaster ever built and the first Dive Coaster with launch elements. (I do not count Lost Gravity as one as it is more of a Eurofighter in terms of its layout.)

#3 The widely rumored Extreme Spinning Coaster. Same layout as the Mega Launch Coaster but with a multi-car coaster train that either has all cars spinning or some spinning. Several launch elements/sections will be included along with possible elements/sections that will do a controlled rotation thru segments of the ride like Cobras Curse. Firsts will of course be the first spinning coaster with a vertical drop and the first with inversions. (If you do not count Blue Fire with the spinning car on the rear)

that would be cool if they did it to where the front car was stationary and the others were spinning. (maybe even a stationary back backwards car too)

Great photos! I embedded them here for those interested. This coaster is really getting insane in a hurry! I am definately getting Helix/Taron vibes from the layout.

Is it just me or does the bottom of the half loop part of the inversion look like it doesn't have enough time to curve up before hitting the ground... Maybe this could mean a tunnel but chances are very low. :-\
