Also wonder if drops will be higher and possibly a longer duration of the actual ride which is now around 3:15.

FITH used to be longer.  A portion of the track was removed in 1982 making the ride shorter according to wikipedia. Also let's take a moment of silence to remember the young 23 year old who died on the ride July 9, 1980,

Are you saying there will be a complete loop/pathway around the lake so Fireman's landing isn't a dead end?

The loop around Lake Silver was open part of the 2021 season.

Whoa!  I did not know about this path.  Looks very nice.

Only new loop would be Western area to Opry House.  The only loop that FL will see is around Lake Silver when that pathway is open.

FITH 2.0 is in Shad’s parking lot which is directly across the tracks from the kiddie drop tower and parallel to the Firehouse Playhouse.

Are you saying there will be a complete loop/pathway around the lake so Fireman's landing isn't a dead end?

Connecting Opry House to Western Area isn't much of a loop but seems rather more of a connection.  Hopefully it will bring more traffic to the out of the way Outlaw Run.

If you ask me how I'd design the path, follow the red line.  It makes loop around the back end that would greatly help with crowd flow.  But they'd have to move some maintenance buildings which is probably too much to ask for.  So, I'm guessing the most likely option for the "new loop" is the blue path, unfortunately, which I don't really see helping flow that much.

Are the songs any good?  I wonder who wrote them.

Music Copyright can be very much policed and there can be really big fines. I know in one of my videos I did for St. Jude - just some regular instrumental music was $1,000 for the right to use it - so we found some free music, but it just didn't have the same feel.

I owned a gym and there were fees just to play music for people hear while working out.

But probably similar to SDC, my local high school had to completely change their Show Choir performance because they couldn't get the rights to some songs. I also filmed a video for the school and we had destroy it because of contested copyright issues.

I just don't know though what constitutes infringement - some popular songs today sample so much from other popular songs - but no credit is mentioned. Just listen to the new Jonas Brother's song Leave Before You Love Me.....and Wham!'s Last Christmas. Way too similar to not give credit to the original writers.

And also Air Supply "Lost in Love"

Maybe SDC is cutting costs?  It's been a tough year.

Except the chain just bought a new park and aquarium so that doesn’t add up

I wasn't aware of this.  Thanks for the info.  What park and aquarium?

I was able to go on this past Friday (Sept 18).  The weather was great and the crowds were light.  The longest line was for Time Traveler (over an hour) but totally worth it!  Had to wear my mask all day but it wasn't totally bad. (I suggest neck gaiter) All the kids play places were closed including Grandfather's mansion but my kids are at just the right age where they love riding the rides instead.  My 7 year old son is just tall enough to get on Powder Keg and Outlaw Run.  It was his first time on both and he is a major coaster enthusiast now.  We rode Outlaw Run about 8 times.  There was no line.  In fact I think Outlaw Run and Giant Barn Swing really get passed over by a lot of people being in the location they are.  Those 2 rides were dead even in the peak of the midday.  Another thing some may not be aware of and I haven't seen it posted here is that the cave is closed.  Makes sense being in a confined space.  Mystic River Falls was also closed half the day due to a technical problem.  I put off riding it the 1st part of the day and then never had a chance later.  All in all it was a fun day and the low crowds are kind of nice.  If you care more about rides than shows, this is the time to go to SDC.

Anyone know if SDC allows neck gaiters?  Or is like Disney and must be 2 ply mask?

Any recent trip reports?  We are thinking of going next weekend (friday or Saturday).  Is either day better?  Are they still mandating masks?  What things are closed?  Grandfather's mansion?  My kids were wondering about the ball area of Fireman's landing.  We are still debating whether to roll over our season pass or go.  Thanks for any input.

Also, my 4 year old was going to get a free season pass from the special promotion this year.  Will she still be able to get that?

Are the guest passes going to be the same for 2020?  My family buys 2 season passes and use the guest passes for 2 kids.  This could make our season unusable if the guest passes aren't valid.

I was hoping the massive building/cue structure was going to be at least partially a show house with some ride through visual effect (i.e disneyesque).  But it looks like its just a big cue line.
