I am still sticking with what I have said before and I will die on that hill.

I think next construction to come will be as follows. This makes the most sense to me and will offer the best thrills. In no particular order:

New entrance with a new, wider layout as you walk in and exit. This will help traffic flow on high traffic days.

New train depot where old FITH was.

Relocate WW.

Tear down Flooded Mine, the current train depot, the old Waterboggan Tower, Pottery shop, possibly Riverfront Playhouse, possibly Frisco Barn, and possibly Carousel Barn for the Ice House (our version of Mystery Mine).

New, very long out and back coaster going around OR and near PK that will include drop tracks, forward/ reverse sections, and immense theming. Very similar to Hagrid's, but more spread out.

Tear down TNT for the new Bat themed Vekoma Suspended coaster, which will be mostly a compact coaster.

Possibly, hopefully, a new Flooded Mine, but no clue where it would go just yet.

I would also LOVE a new Mack Water Coaster (wink, wink).

If all that happens, I will eat my shoe and call you Alexander Osterman.

I went out this morning and picked up a Pathfinder to add to my collection. The more I look at the details, the POV, and after talking with some of the employees, the happier I am that my guess was wrong. I should have went with my gut from a month ago about the ride envelope leaving the station, as it turns out it was not an optical illusion. This thing actually looks like a really cool mine train.

I never have really bought into the idea that TNT is was closing because of the lawsuit. It sits on top of the cave. Ground is not as static is we would like to believe. Something happened during the summer when Time Traveler was being built to were the tunnel was riding great one week, and it was almost "The Boss" bad the next.  It was a jarring change, and it has not been the same sense. Ive helped repair a lot of public utilities that broke because of shifting ground, and what ever happened in the tunnel is not a cheap or easy fix. I think the seeds for this ride were planted the summer Time Traveler was built.

I always wondered why they built a roller coaster so close (or is it actually on top?) to the cave. It's amazing that the foundations of the ride have lasted as long as they have.

And finally congrats to hollijo for being the first to post what the ride was going to be. I'm sure a lot us knew you were right, but we couldn't just come right out and say it at the time. 

Okay Swoosh, are you telling us that you intentionally said this was NOT at TNT replacement and also the announcement would be in September to intentionally deceive us into believing hollijo was incorrect?

I think most will just call it "Miners Mountain". The "Express" is even shrunk down in font on the official logo.

The Wild Moose is a great ride concept. Looks like there will be one going to a park in the midwest in 2027 (not SDC, though).

I wouldn't say that RMC and SDC have a great relationship, though. As I understand, the park isn't exactly in love with how Fire in the Hole turned out.

What about FITH specifically are they not happy about?

The park only builds family thrill rides.  You know that

You know what I mean. A SDC type of thrill ride such as Time Traveler or Outlaw Run.

Honestly this back and forth that's been going on reflects badly on these boards and if there are indeed park employees engaging in this silliness, this is subsequently leaving a bad look on the park itself too.

Just some food for thought, this is all I'm gonna say on the matter.

I also completely agree. I will say I do not work for or represent the park. With that being said I will reframe from further back and forth. This should be a fun and welcoming space for people to discuss thoughts and ideas for SDC so my apologies if I crossed any lines.

This is going to be a family coaster. Even if it is a striker its going to have multiple lift hills (as does Cobras Curse). This is going to be a mine theme type ride much more similar to a Cobras Curse (in terms of family feel) than a Voltron or Hyperia lol. It is probably going to be something Mack hasn't done before period.

You have known what this ride is for a year?

This is just me daydreaming and sharing a cool idea i had. So don't take this as anything other than that. But it would be SO COOL to have a stryker that starts somewhat similarly to voltron but a but different. It starts by pulling out of the station with some gradual curves and slopes towards a mine entrance with some kind of warning sign. (Think gentile "pre lift" section with some nice flowy curves). After the train pulls in it comes to a stop. You see some warning signs of blasting and you hear some cracking in the cavern and some rumbling before the train suddenly drops down into a lower shaft. (Drop track instead of the "bounce track" on voltron). Once the train settles on the bottom in the darkness you hear a hissing sound along with the faint light of fuses slowly burning along the walls towards the back of the train. Before suddenly a large explosion goes off behind you, launching the train quickly forward, up and out of the mineshaft along with some lighting and smoke effects! (This sequence would Happen pretty fast) but this would be such a cool way to kick off an amazing coaster and I just had to share the idea. Again, I don't think this will happen but I love sharing my wild ideas lol. If I had the skills in FVD++ and could put the terrain in correctly I'd love to make my "pipe dream" layout with all the cool ideas but for now I'll just share them here 😅. Anything yall have been dreaming about when thinking of what you'd do with this coaster?

A drop track into a themed mine would absolutely be amazing. I'm going to be disappointed if this doesn't happen now.
