Construction/Rumors / Re: Project 2026 Tracker
June 26, 2025, 02:29:45 AM
What Swoosh said. 1, there are NO track or supports on site, yet. 2, there are NO footers in place yet. Watching the speculation is quite comical though  :D

The foundation of the first station was located where the woods pathway was built. This one might be the Frisco barn. The third station is still located west of the corkscrew, and the 4th station is located by the Flooded Mine.

FYI, the name shop never reopened this year, the couple retired in December. It's used for storage for games. The park is loaded with empty buildings  :'(

The old hotel you're referring to was remodeled and reopened a couple months ago as a Motel 6.

^^ untrue. The sign and bridge were untouched. The fire trucks never left the pavement. However, the whole area has been cleared for future development.

Ha Ha, NO. All 3 trains are still there. They haven't, nor would, sell any trains to another park.

Other Parks / Re: Dogpatch USA sells for $1.12 million

Of over 120 structures, several pre-dating Dogpatch from the original Marble City, only 8 remain :(

To the best of my knowledge, the only change is no more Santa Clause and possibly no parade after December 25th. Lights, food, & ornaments will still be there.

Yes, it's been closed all season.

Grandfather's Mansion, Silos, Half Dollar Treehouses, & Playhouse ball rooms are closed.

The mine hasn't had a "drop". What you're remembering is, when the loaders release the boats, they drop up to a foot, settling in the water as it enters the main channel.

Random Talk / Re: Coronavirus

Jemmicat. I applaud you. Well written. I've known a couple dozen people with the virus, one 23 year old that was on a ventilator for 14 days, one as young as 2 years old. Luckily, to this date, all have survived. I, too, watch the world, not just the arrogant "me generation" here in the USA.

^What he said. I kept quiet all day. It was a long day.
