looks like Dollywood might be putting in a Mack water ride would love to see something similar. Only downside is water rides are not open all season

Looking at the google map the clearing around Outlaw Run and the backstage areas is much more impressive. Any thoughts about this area?

I see this has the next big expansion. Dollywood has done so with their park and I see silver dollar city following in their footsteps. Only concern I see is moving backstage areas and the long walk it would take to get there. With employees being another thing I sort of worry about. During the slower parts of the season I tend to see rides staffed much lower than they should be. And with a whole new area they would need to move some employees or up the pay to hire some more workers.

Here at sdc and just got off of powder keg and on the lift hill I was able to see something that looked identical to a support beam. This was a big black one that was as big as wildfires if not bigger. I could be wrong but from what I saw in the quick few seconds looked like a support beam.

I find it hard not to believe that this could be a Vekoma with all of its New-Gen coasters that look amazing and the work they have done with Herschend recently. Also, with the rave reviews at Dollywood, I could see this being a big bear type of ride with a little more intensity. Just my thoughts.

Since the park (finally) admitted that the next attraction will be added in 2026 (besides the resort).  I'm curious as to what you think it'll be and where it will be located. 

Fun fact: if you were paying attention, they've already done the survey work for the attraction.

I didn't really know where to put this but just looking at sdc's website and found they had vip tours. The price for one is around $1000 at the cheapest. I've done many vip tours at theme parks with universal being my favorite with that being half of the price. Has anyone done the vip tour at sdc yet?

I think this puts to rest that it will keep the same name as fire in the hole and use a new name.

SDC's twitter today posted what looks like to be a front of a book cover or picture frame can't really tell but this most likely has to do with the new coaster.

Can't wait for August when we can finally get excited for the big announcement. We've been talking about the new FITH for years and years now. We will have watched the construction for three years by the time it opens. Sure hope it is worth the wait.

When do you expect the announcement to be, because I believe they will not wait until august to do it
