Man, I'm excited to see a new coaster that synergizes so well with the other rides in the area. Each ride in the past has been kind of in its own area, not interacting much with any other rides. This is gonna create some epic photos

Anybody else a little bit bummed about how much AP is going to be in a tunnel/structure now? The ride was mostly tunnel as it was, but now the only outdoor section before the lift is the little bit going out of the station and the whirlpool scene?

Is that roof they're building over the AP channel, or is it something different?

Gotta say, the walls being formed around the footers inbetween WF and PK are interesting. Looks like water channels, or maybe a structure like the caves that have been mentioned? (I'm not sure where this is in regards to the station so it may just be that)

Reminder that the new FiTH has the title for "largest indoor roller coaster in the Heartland"

Man, I really hope it isn't a replacement for TNT mainly for the fact that the last two major attractions were replacements of older attractions and didn't add any (major) capacity for ridership. The park really needs to build out a few more original attractions before they start replacing older rides, it would help crowd levels a ton.

October 07, 2025, 03:46:28 PMQuote from: sdcfan88 on October 07, 2025, 02:38:15 PMFor all we know if it's Mack again they could be jumping on the Wing Coaster train (pun intended) with their own model to compete with B&M. The previous "Take Flight" teaser still sticks with me on that aspect.
Where was that teaser at again? I've tried looking for it before but couldn't remember where it was.
The more I think about it, I do think there is something bigger at play here as well. Piggybacking back to what Dewayne said about an AP replacement, I could see that happening as well, especially with the fact that we now have two very distinct and different themes floating around - the Ozarkian Daredevil Society and the Marvel Cave Mining Co, as well as Swooosh's comment from a few months ago that there were "too many moving parts. Too many pots on the fire". If the are is already prepped for a ride that you plan on replacing soon, why not do it when you can before you have to move around two rides? Only downside would be losing a good ride for summers that does great to keep the lines down. Or I could be reading into all of it too much because I'm bored at work waiting for 5 pm to strike.

I'm still holding out for a Mack Strykercoaster, especially after the "first in the United States" comments from fan-fest. (Which could be said for a lot of different models from different manufacturers, but still.) If the latest additions that Swooosh added hold true to the end of the construction process (lots of tunnels), imagine a section where you enter a tunnel with the shake effect track that Voltron has, and then you launch out to escape the collapsing cave!
Or it could be Mack's mine train but unpowered.

We're not going to get a coaster announcement next week, please temper your expectations. They do extravagant marketing campaigns for new rides, usually with a few months of build up before the announcement. This 'fan fest' will probably go over some smaller additions next year, with one thing being the replacement for Rudolph's parade (confirmed in Facebook comments). They will also probably go in-depth with the resort now that it is vertical. The room types, accommodations, packages, perks, etc. They just recently filed a new trademark for a new logo to be used at the resort. https://uspto.report/TM/99384792
" S, D, C™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of resort hotel accommodation services; Hotel accommodation, restaurant and bar services; Provision of facilities for conferences, exhibitions and meetings; Rental of banquet and social function facilities for special occasions, namely, wedding receptions, birthday parties and special events.
We may get a vague hint or two, but nothing concrete.

My current pipe-dream for this project is that it's actually going to be a new named area that goes out past Wildfire and Powder Keg, enough to where you can watch the drops for both rides. Do I expect the latter to happen? Definitely not, but it would be cool to see. I could however see this as our first actual expansion project.

A new trademark was filed back in May for something called "Stars, Lights, & Christmas Nights" I'd assume it's for the new Plaza area, as I can't see them getting rid of the "An Old Time Christmas" name. Nothing exciting, just thought it'd be interesting to share while we're in a lull news-wise.

Honestly, with the resort opening in "late" 2026 I could see them deviate from their normal "ride open on opening day" and move the opening date to coincide with the resort's grand opening.

I see, my bad for misunderstanding what you were asking.
I as to the speculation about the next expansion, I can see them moving M&C to the clearing near OR and using that spot next to FiTH/Mystic river as a decent expansion. But I personally think that the next project after this project will be where the original FiTH was and that back area.

Where is the supposed footer? I thought I saw one while riding PowderKeg, but then the next time I looked, it was just gravel.
Looks like that satilite imagery is from 4/21, which puts it before the rumored footers were put in
