Wait, how do we know this is true? They censored the announcement to get people guessing, and I'm not seeing any confirmation on the SDC website.

It's one of the comments, JonnyAmusement wrote it. He is a very big Dollywood poster. They responded that he "won" the season passes they offered if somebody guessed it word for word. I don't actually think that he got it word for word, but he may be close to the real thing. Unless they gave him the press release and he spoiled it too early.

Area of the photo makes me think they're already teasing the 2026 project. But I can also see them teasing lift hill walks, I believe Dollywood started offering them this year.

Completely speculative, but heard that corporate didn't "get" the old backwoodsy style of the park and thought it looked too run down. 

It isn't just a corporate thing unfortunately. I remember remarks from park guests when I worked there talking about how they won't enter a shop or a restaurant because it looked run down and unsafe. I remember hearing that about Wildfire and AP as well because of the looks of the stations and the lifthill of AP.

It's unfortunate, because I love the backwoodsy feel of the park as I'm sure everybody else here does. But I can see how corporate and the general public don't get it as well.

A pipedream that I have for this area that they are doing is that they tear out current waterfall structure and replace it with an actual waterfall created by an artificial stream they make that interacts with the cleared area. I'm sure that won't happen, but I love the little areas of the park that has the small streams

Swoosh, why so many trees cleared out from around Outlaw run? Is this project that massive or that part of a different maintenance project?

I just saw those photos and that makes me sad. I really hope between that and project 2026 that half of the park doesn't lose the feeling of being "tucked away in the Ozark Mountains".

Another shakeup in the theme park industry. Palace owns parks like Kennywood, Lake Compounce, and Dutch Wonderland. I bet the first thing they add to the parks are cinnamon bread stands.

Rumor around the park today was that this may be Thunderation's last year.

Part of me can see the validility to that rumor, but I also remember last year duirng FiTH's grand opening they talked about doing multi-year refurb to keep it around. I would imagine this is its "last year" being open before being closed for a season for the refurb.

Since it was released by someone else - can confirm now that the HH restrooms have been completely redone for this season

It's about time that happened! Hopefully they added stalls to both sides, the wait for that restroom is longer than the rides themselves sometimes.

I can see it being a B&M Dive coaster if it's themed after the Ozarkian Society of Daredevils.

Could it be the trees between WF/PK got cut and you can now see between them clearly? I'm drawing blanks on that area that could cause complaints haha

You're entitled to your own opinion, but I want you to admit to yourself that you're also one of the big reasons why this board has died.  Why would anyone want to provide any info that's not been confirmed by the park when you continually treat other posters the way you do. 

And heaven forbid plans change and a person dared to mention out of date info then you're always one of the first to say something like "see you don't know anything"

If you could quote/link my posts where I've done this then sure, I'll admit it. But I think you've gotten me confused for someone else, considering I've only had 100 posts in the last 6 years and haven't told anybody that "you don't know anything". Yes, I checked my post history. So please, if you think I've treated anybody else poorly then go head and give me the links so I can apologize.
