Anyone know exactly what we're seeing?  Obviously PowderKeg is in testing with a modified launch.  Is this a planned change/upgrade or relates to the new 2027 ride?

That's just a rollback - its's what happens when the train doesn't make it over the first hill after a launch. I'm guessing that it is just a normal part of testing when bringing a ride out of hibernation.  PowderKeg is a compressed air launch so a swing launch isn't possible.

Looks like the construction area has expanded all the way over to the viewing area of the PowderKeg launch. There is now a fence at the close end of the track slide transfer building.

There will be an announcement on Monday, February 16. Remember, this is just the beginning of what should be a months long teaser campaign with the full announcement coming later in the year.

Does Rhonda Vincent and the Rage do the same Christmas show in all of the timeslots? I ask because during Bluegrass and BBQ all of her sets are different, so each show is different.

No, they rotate through 9 different sets.

There is a new 10+ set if footers down and to your right from the WildFire drop. This is a new set, not the ones directly under the hill.
We are now well over 20 footers.

The previous "Take Flight" teaser still sticks with me on that aspect.

I don't recall a Take Flight teaser for SDC... that was the teaser for Dollywood's new ride.

...So the Stryker model seems to be a top candidate!

One strike against that model is that it doesn't match the concept art in the survey. I know that it is just concept art in a survey, but the train layout is completely different. I also hope that it has something like a 39" minimum height for more families.

That piece is from the end of June. My family is actually in it.
We've met Andrew Wexler (Herschend CEO) a few times. He is super nice, down to earth, and authentic just like the Herschend and SDC leadership.

It was a ton of fun and was exactly what they advertised it as being.

The new cheesy garlic pretzel bread was really good and will actually be available beginning this year during An Old Time Christmas.

I was really happy to see that we are getting a new parade that is bigger than the current one.

Overall, it was a fun event and we look forward to next season.... and we have to keep track of the Marvel Cave Mining Company certificates that we received.

Fan Fest was 100% what it was advertised as. No one should have expected a ride announcement since there haz been zero teaser campaign.

They aren't just renaming the Showboat, its getting a remodel, seating arrangement is changing, new show, and new menu. I wouldn't be surprised if the dock area gets a remodel too.

There were a ton of other announcements from merchandise, foods, festivals, concerts, and the new Star, Lights, and Christmas Nights parade. Just because there wasn't a ride announcement doesn't mean that there weren't announcements.

It was a fun event and they did a great job hosting it.

A new trademark was filed back in May for something called "Stars, Lights, & Christmas Nights" I'd assume it's for the new Plaza area...

I saw that awhile back. It is registered decorative magnets, drink ware, t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, pants, hats, etc, Ornaments, snow globes, AND Conducting of parades for entertainment purposes.

The parade part is what I found the most interesting. I'm not sure how long Herschend has the Rudolph license.

It has now been confirmed that 2025 will be the final year for the Rudolph parade. Could we be getting an all new Stars, Lights, and Christmas Nights parade in 2026?
