Well we ended up going.  I think we got there around 5 or so and started off eating a the Mill.  Walked around and looked at lights, watched the parade, rode FITH since it was the only thing open besides FM I think, did not ride the train.  Left around 8. We were going to go back Monday and look at more lights and ride the train, but instead went to that magic show at the Cabaret as we decided it was too cold.  Had we gone it would have been lightly snowing.  Kind of sorry I missed that.

Thinking about hopping in the car and heading up to the visit the city today/tomorrow.  Being Sunday and Monday I figured the Christmas crowds would be lighter.  Now with the temps in the 30's and possible snow on Monday, I figured just about all rides will be closed, further reducing crowds.  Perhaps it might be a good couple of days to bundle up and look at the lights, ride the train etc?

Construction/Rumors / Re: Next new ride, next to go?

I REALLY wish they would have either repaired LR or did an on par replacement instead of what they came up with.  I do not like the boats, or the ride, and really have no use for the stupid lift/drop thing at the end.

I would love to try out TNT but now days my neck and back are so stiff I am afraid to try it. It is one of my favorite rides there.

I wonder if the low turnout for the regular nightly show had anything to do with the people not liking the remodel?

Does anyone know why they did away with the nightly shows?  Just was never the same after they did the remodel.

None of this is any surprise.

I guess I have not noticed any issues with the restrooms, they seem fine to me.

Quote from: shavethewhales on May 27, 2025, 12:54:10 PMDynamic pricing is just another way for them to squeeze more out of you. All the days you want to go will now cost more, in exchange for the days you can't go being cheaper. I really hate how HFEC follows these greedy industry trends now. As if trailblazer wasn't bad enough.

Perhaps soon unless you buy the top level season pass, certain days will be blacked out.  As far as TB, the last 2 years we has passed I bought them, and also bought them this year when I decided at the last minute to buy passes after taking a break for a while.  The way the park is packed now days, it is pretty much the only way I will go.

The 2nd train for TNT is gone?  When did that happen?  I would have loved to have ridden in this past weekend but I was not brave enough in fear of damage to my spine.

We were there this past Saturday and Sunday, our 2nd trip of the year after not going for several years. Regarding MRF, I have always  liked LR better but just realized something this trip.  It seems the boats are the same size as the old ones, but they have way too many people crammed into them IMO.  They have 8 people instead of 6 like the old boats.  If you have a load of kids it might be fine, but trying to fit 8 grown adults is just too uncomfortable.  In fact, it might be possible the LR boats were larger but only had 6 people.  Or perhaps I am remembering it wrong?

I have been going to Little Rock for years for work, and all over Ark in general and how I have I never heard of this park before?

Other Parks / Re: Frontier City Developments

The last few years we got passes to FC simply because it allowed access to other SF parks.  This year no matter what level pass you get you have to pay for the add on for the other parks, and IMO it was way too expensive.  So we did not buy passes this year.

This past weekend I made a spur of the moment decision to buy Gold TB passes and the wife and I headed to the city Friday and Saturday.  Big changes since the last time I was there.  Parking lot situation somewhat confusing as I have been used the lots the way they have been for years.  Park was not super busy but glad I had the TB, especially for FITH.  Speaking of which, it was nice but just doesnt do it for me like the old one.  We upgraded our cups the free refill all season.  I do like this new addition.  I am sure any other changes at the park have been discussed at length already.

Branson seems to me like its even further ran down than the last time.  We stayed at the Thousand Hills hotel which was a first.  It was not bad but the clientel in Branson and at SDC is definitely changing.  Lots of torn down theaters and hotels, some of which is the same state they were 2+ years ago.  Plenty of other closed down hotels.  I see the Moon River appears to be boarded up and abandoned.
