Hi Everybody! Boy how things change with just a phone call! Ok, I am going to be "officially" open June 6th but we are doing a "soft open" starting Sat May 31st. I am training with whole new crew so, if I have some rooms ready I can go ahead and rent. I know this has been a strange deal, I am ready to just be open! I do have the phone and computer back too! Hope to hear from ya' all soon!   

I appreciate the patience, I understand it can be frustrating...it is for me too! But sometimes you have to understand business side of it. I have been promoting and keeping informed. Branson is slow, when you hear that McFarlains is not serving breakfast right now until the holiday weekend, well that means Branson is down in all areas. Right? Some shows, not all are okay but most have been area appreciation so can't really use those numbers either. My goal is to still try to open on the 15th, or at least by Memorial weekend. I have not been told no yet, ya all know me! I'm going for it!  I should have more info hopefully by Friday. Thank you for all your support!

Finally! I am glad they brought this back, it has always been one of my favs since I was a kid! I think one of the best ones they ever had. 

No worries Dollar, we have moved you and your dad's reservations to Econo. You are all set there! Apologize for the change!

Howdy Folks! It's late but time for another update! 

I will be overseeing Econo Lodge this year so I'm sure for those of you who have stayed there in the past for the SDC Fan discount will be approved and continue. I am still working on having as an option for anyone new who has not stayed there before...more on that to come. Econo Lodge is open as of March 16th. I know you would all love our new crew over there!

On the HomeStay Inn latest news, we will have our water turned on tomorrow. AND IF any of you would like to stay with us starting March 28th, it has been approved. It will be limited front desk and breakfast as we "open" April 1. We would love to accommodate early for this group only! We will as of Thursday have Angela or Cherie taking calls and making reservations. Bare with me as for the next few months will be spending time at Econo. Yes, I'm still here and will be here. This is exciting for me and cannot wait to see you all again! Any questions or needing more info, call my cell or PM me!  We have been working on outside improvements and continuing with room improvements as well, I am really pumped! And yes, I will get more time this year to visit SDC...amazing!

What I do know so far, with Pierce Arrow Jarrod left to spend more time with his family (re-married last summer for those who do not know). He may still do an appearance here an there. Right now they are having guest comedians come in (Paul Harris has been one of them, sorry I do not remember names of others). This is short term. It has not been confirmed that Jarrod has committed to another venue at this time but something is in the works for sure. If I hear any other news or updates I will let you all know. Believe me, I'm hearing new things each day, doesn't mean it's true but definitely changes are going on! It's always exciting to find out each year what the shuffle brings, right?

That's a good idea! Then I will have plenty of help all year!

Hey Everybody! We are getting ready for 2014 and can't wait until we open April 1! Here are a few updates for you.

Unfortunately due to the lack of stays at Econo Lodge, the PTB will not be offering the SDC Fan rate this year at the Econo. HomeStay of course will continue the rate of $40.00 + tax and we are excited to see all of you again this year!

We did some upgrades on the rooms late last year and now mainly the exterior. As we get ready to open there will be some "work" going on hopefully done by end of April. We may be adding "adjoining" rooms even! :-)

Also, keep in mind for holidays/events in town, try to get your reservations in early so we can accommodate! We are looking to be very busy this year and looks like Branson is too! ;-) This is all good news and again cannot wait to see you all again! Thank you all for your support over the last few years, as a group we did over 400 rooms for 2013....would love to beat that for 2014! AND I actually might be able to join you at SDC on the meet ups this year as my schedule will allow so far! Yea! So....who is going with me to get on the rides this time? :-)

P.S. Parson, is Caleb ready for work this year? Hee hee!

I totally understand! I would rather you be safe and warm. We are at this time supposed to open April 1 (maybe sooner?) so hopefully we will see you then! Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 

Thank you Qwed! I am so happy to hear Kathy is a lot better, we all here were feeling bad for you both. Thank you as well for mentioning the other's in my staff, they are my backbone and could not do without them. (You only missed mentioning Heather our other housekeeper but that's okay, she is new this year and a gem...keeping her on for sure!) 

I know there are many choices to stay in Branson, I appreciate you all choosing to stay here when you do even with all those choices. We strive to be the best we can be. I'm sure the other hotels do to and there are times we all come up short. Maybe in the next year or so, we can convince the PTB to let me open earlier/close later. We here at HomeStay never give up!

I would agree on Classic Motor Inn.. I know it is competition but while I'm closed, they do have a great hotel there! They have been around for many years and have great reviews too! So if you all are going to "sleep around" on me (while I'm closed that is), I'd rather you do it there! 

Absolutely on Caleb! I would hire him in a second! He is always my assistant when you all visit, no worries there! Tell Kaylee I said "Hello". Really look forward to seeing you all again, it's been awhile!
