I was wondering where this song debuted. I really like it beacuse it truelly describes the city, but until downloading it I never knew it existed.

I think it originated from an old commercial, but I'm not entirely certain.

I figured that it probably did, but you know I just wasn't sure. I'm new to the forum, but I'm really excited to get to talk to other SDC enthusiasts!!!

"You have a great past ahead of you at Silver Dollar City" was the slogan and theme used in an ad campaign in the late '70's and early '80's. It was used in TV, radio, and print ads. Until recently there was a sign above the turnstyles at the park that read, "You have a great past JUST ahead of you." It may have been replaced just this spring with a 50th anniversary banner sign. They were great ads, by the way. As a teenager, I'd burst into song every time I saw one of those ads on TV!

Yeah, the 50th anniversary banner is hiding the "Great Past JUST Ahead of You" sign.

Glad to know the original sign is still in place.  Some things you just can't mess with!
