I was thinking of purchasing the Gold Season Pass over the Silver. I know the Gold has a 20% discount compared to a 10% discount on food which is a plus. My question is what is the difference between the Souvenir Mug with Discounted Refills and the old mugs of 2012 and before? Is there a larger variety of refills you can receive with the newer mugs and are these refills any cheaper than the older mugs? I know this is like the 2nd or 3rd year they have been available and wondered if someone with experience with them could give some info.

the mugs that come with the gold pass are the standard refill mugs. you can refill them for around $2 with regular drinks and I think $2.50-$3(i'm not 100% sure on the price), they would be very similar to the pre-2012 mugs. they are like all post-2012 mugs only good for one year.
the Vip mug/tumblers are a thing they started a couple of years ago, they are $70 and can be added to your season passes. they offer free refills of all drinks(other than ice cream drinks).

I appreciate that Lampie......sounds like I might as well stick with the Silver if the new mugs are no more benefit than the older mugs. I guess if a person ate enough times the 20% over the 10% might offset the extra price.
