Title: Richard Branson
Post by: History Buff on March 19, 2015, 10:04:10 PM
So, we can only wonder if and what Virgin's Sir Richard Branson might invest.  I just read about this in the Branson Daily Independent.

Here's the link to his original blog post, which already sports a number of comments from the locals:

Well, in case you had not heard/read yet..

This was a massive April Fools Joke..!!

Even the mayor of Branson was involved in this farce..

Actually, the "Richard is related to Reuben Branson" thing is for real (or, at least, the below-linked article says it wasn't a joke). The April Fools joke is that Virgin Airlines will relocate its US headquarters to Branson:

I could be touchy, but that seems like a really harsh April Fools joke to play on an entire area.  Unless I'm missing something??  ???

His announcement was a great advertisement for Branson, joke or not.
