Title: Classic Motor Inn 2015- 417-334-6991, Talk to Katy (K.D.)
Post by: sanddunerider on December 30, 2014, 11:22:18 AM
With a new year coming, may as well start a new thread..

As I am staying here this week to being in the New Year, I talked to Katy and her room count for this year is about 150 rooms..  That is a decent number since we didn't really start supporting her until about June. She is thrilled with our response and support and is looking ahead to 2015.!

Our room rate for 2015 will remain at the 38.00 price and I personally am hoping to see double amount of rooms (at least) in 2015..

2013 we had over 400 rooms with Paige.

She is giving us a "special winter" rate, 30.00 per nite! This is for jan feb and march.. So this will give some of us a cheap rate for the seasoner opener!!.... (you may have to remind them of this discount)..

Also the "VIP" cards..  (stay 5 times and get 1 night free) are good all year around, But make sure you ask them about it and keep track of your trips and cards...  Katy and Linda usually forget to ask or offer since they have so many people staying. It is quite a bonus really.

Any other questions? comment, just post it here, send me a PM, or call Katy...  We will get you answers.>!!!  Enjoy..

Give them a call..!!

Had a good visit last weekend. They are open year round which is very nice. Branson itself didn't have all that much going on.

Hey Sanddune thanks for going out of your way to help us all find a good spot to lay our heads and save a little.  You know how to track down a good spot with cheap rates and nice folks at the front desk.  All of my stays at Classic this year have been great! I highly recommend the Classic.

Finally getting to try this place out. I'm pretty pleased. Beds and room are clean, everything seems to be in order. Nothing fancy, but nothing iffy either. Only thing you can really complain about is the TV, which is an old tube. It's definitely the best deal in town with the discount, and I'll be staying here by default from now on.

How about we set up a meet sight, for anyone at the SDC sunday morning?   How about west of Gazebo, where the old "fire truck" was..?

New plans for our April 24 -26 trip I posted above, we are now staying on Indian Point at Stillwaters Resort. With having 4 teenage girls this trip, my wife wanted a bigger place than the 2 small hotel room, so that the girls can have a place to watch TV or play board games at night. We have stayed here numerous times and have always had good experiences.

A little hesitant to post this, But going to anyway.........

Katy and Linda are having a good year so far, with several sold out weekends already. Memorial day, they were sold out fri-sat-sunday.. Katy expresses her thanks to us for our patronage as a grouse far, and looking forward to the rest of the year...

That being said, If you call for reservations at Classic, (I suggest you call ahead) or get to town and stop in, AND they have No Vacancy...  Talk to Katy or PM me, I have made arrangements through a ticket agency there in Branson that I use, They will get us rooms for the same rate at one of their customers comparable motels.  This is for us only, and only if Katy is sold out. ((Car Show weekend not included of course)),

I use this ticket agency all year long, and have used them for years. if you have to call her, I guarantee NO sales pitch, NO time share BS.  Just call and get a room. LOL.. Of course IF you need show tickets she will make you deal on that too......

Sand, I noticed several No Vacany signs this weekend, including one in Branson West. Branson doesn't appear to be be barely surviving too badly based on sold out hotels, traffic, and wait times in the few restaurants we visited.

How-do, you might call Katy back and request ground level room on the back of motel, that is where pool is.  That way you can see it from your room and wont have to walk any stairs getting back and forth from it..  Close to the Lower Breezeway is the best, and it is right around the corner from the breakfast room...  LOL..  Sorry, I don't know the room numbersz!!

Had a great stay at Classic. We were due to arrive early, so we called & they made sure our room was ready. We got the secret room by the office again, #106, even though there is no number on the door. Everything was great, pool was clean & nice to swim in also. Even woke up Friday morning before we went to SDC & sat in the office & chatted with the lady making coffee.
As always, Thanks for having this thread on here. Great little place to stay in Branson!!
And yes sandunerider, we talked about you..  :D

Man for the rate you can buy your own breakfast if they don't have sausage.  I have stayed there many times and am aware of the $break$ we are getting.  You cant get really picky when you are paying under $40 and the room IS clean.

Yeah, Rick jumped up and got over to the car very quickly. Talking to him afterward, he said he could see me shooing my family out of the way out of the corner of his eye.

Just as background...I saw a car driving on the sidewalk instead of the street (probably at about 35-40mph). It didn't look like it was heading towards us, but in the seconds I had to react I remember thinking "We don't know where this thing is going to end up." That's when I started screaming "Get out of the way!!!"

Just wanted to uodate this thread, haven't been posted on for a couple of months...

As most of you know, and I know we have some newbies....

We as a group get a discounted room rate at Classic Motor Inn, on the west side of town.  Several of us stay here repeatedly, they have clean rooms,  easy access, they have very nice handicap rooms. Some rooms equipped with pillowtop mattresses and flat screen TV's..  They are always trying to update the rooms.

Our discounted rate of 38.00 also includes a cont. breakfast which includes, French toast, waffles, pancakes, Biscuits and Gravy, cold cereals, juices,, bread, peanut butter, fruit cocktail...  lots of stuff, all warmed up In micro or toaster..   AND almost everynight there is fresh popcorn and fresh chocolate chips cookies in the lobby for all guests..

Wi-Fi, Coffee Pots, Fridge, Microwave available in every room,

Give Katy a call at 417-334-6991, tell her your a member of SDCFans, and she will take care of you,,   The 38.00 price is good all year around....(Except for Car Show week in August)...  And they are open all winter!!

If you have any other questions,  post it here,,,, OR PM me,,  If we (I), don't know the answer, we will get it for you.......

Hey everyone,
Biscuit, MH, Cheese, dollar, how-do, little, anyone else...??....
Someone went in and left Classic a bad review, first time in and after talking the the ladies, said there were some "problems" but the customer didnt give them a chance to rectify them.  Anyway they slammed them on trip advisor.  Linda and K.D. has been working hard for us, and others to reach a #30 rating inn Branson..  I left my tripadvisor review today, If you guys and anyone else that has stayed there, would go in a leave a review I know the girls would appreciate it.  Linda (the owner) took it very personally, I tried to tell her it is retail, you cant keep them all happy.. oh well.  maybe a few good reviews from us will help you mood.. LOL.. and may raise their ratings even more..  Thanks to all

As you can tell by my picture video of our trip to Branson, we did not stay at Classic this time. No certain reason why, we just like our woodsy other motel. Even if we had a bad time at ANY motel, we would not write up a bad review on a internet site, we just dont do those anyways.

Never had a problem at Classic. :)

sorry to say this but when we stayed at classic this summer we were not impressed at all!!!! beds were too hard, the beds were too low to the ground, not that much to choose from for breakfast, the breakfast room was very crowded and we went down there several times hoping that the crowd would be down a little bit but no such luck; the air conditioner in our room would not cool and the lady up front said that this was not their fault and couldnt do anything about it; there was mold growing inside the bathroom on the walls, and the room had an odor to it. with all these things said i wouldnt go and write a bad review on tripadvisor, but people should be warned that this motel really needs some updates. also why will the only allow you one cookie?

Littlejohnmom,
one cookie? Hmm?
Bed too hard? and low to ground?  Never noticed that.
Minimal Breakfast and lots of people....  Must have been a big weekend.., and as Cheese suggested, you can always go to the lobby, very seldom a crowd there,,
I know they are working on updating rooms as they can, being locally owned they don't have the BIG budget of say a Best Western or Days Inn.
Sounds like just a bad weekend, very unusual for them..  If you wanted to give them another try, and PM'd me. I could probably get a couple of nights at no charge for your inconvience.  Let me know.
Sorry it didn't work out for you, But Thanks for giving them a try.

Our stay was fine but we most likely won't be back. Our rooms were dark and my family found the breakfast laughable. I don't eat breakfast so I didn't go but my family of teens went down and came back joking about how awful it was. I don't know if it was a bad morning, but they literally had 3 doughnuts and some cold gravy. We ended up going to McDonalds. It's OK for the price and the staff was super nice but we'd rather pay a little more and get a little more light, a little better breakfast, etc. I understand that many of you are vocal supporters, but there are other opinions. Not everyone is going to agree.

We asked to see the rooms the 1 time we stopped and passed on it. Ended up at The French Quarter with a condo for a little more. Now we just book on FlipKey or VRBO if we go to Branson.

The French Quarter / Hilton / Radisson/ The Classic Motor Inn..........One of these things is not like the others.....Do you guys remember this Sesame street game?
If you want to compare then do so apples to apples and not Apples to Oranges.
There is a place for the Radisson and the Hilton ( $168 per night for 2).  There is also a place for the Classic where you could stay about 6 nights for the price of one at the Hilton.
Juxtapose equal establishments, you guys are talking crazy here.  The French Quarter was 175 a night last time I pulled in.  If your budget allows then great but you cant compare this with the Classic Motor Inn.  I am lucky enough to make many trips a year to Branson and would rather spend my money on a good meal than on a expensive room but that's my value system and my budget.  Also because of the frequency of my trips my concerns are a conveniently located spot that's clean and friendly. Breakfast? I could care less about the free carbs every hotel puts out.  I would rather go out for breakfast or stop at the bakery at the entrance to SDC and buy a cheese stick that threatens to stop my heart each time I eat it. But with the money you are saving on the room you can go out to a restaurant for breakfast and still come out ahead.
The Classic is a great place run by nice people, its clean and the price cant be beat.   It is not a 5 star place nor does it profess itself to be.  That being said lets not put standards on the Classic that they are not claiming in the first place.  I appreciate their helping the group out with a good rate.  I also appreciate Sanddune for working this out for us.

Stayed 2 days over the weekend of the 21st.  Great both nights. I was surprised they were not full.  There was lots of traffic in town but not a lot stay the night i guess.
Myself its easier to take a day trip in the summer but winter at SDC makes me want to stay the night.  I prefer to stay if I can.  The folks at the hotel were great as usual and the room was clean,  tidy,  good internet signal. ( Apparently there are some rooms better than others for internet usage so when you call for reservation ask them about wifi, that way they can try to get you in a  good spot) Maybe one more trip this year.

Staying the 4th through the 6th. The rooms are bigger than they were at Homestead.

Stayed one weekend each during the spring, summer, fall and winter seasons of this year. Great value with no complaints what so ever.

I talked to K.D. last night to verify reservations, and she wanted me to remind everyone that Classic is open all year, And if you are making any Christmas visit plans to give her a call..

She also reminded me that after jan 1, there will be a reduced rate to everyone for "off" season,  usually last until mid march.

I talked to her about this years "numbers".  She is supposed to get them added up and let me know, I will pass that info on as soon as I get it..  I am going to try to get her to join our group next time I am down there in a couple of weeks

She and the owner (Linda), both expressed their thanks and gratitude to our group for helping and supporting them. Also wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, and have safe travels this season.  I expressed to her our thanks for all they do for us.
