Is there an activity, a ride, a feature that you are glad no longer exists? We often mourn things lost, but some things are better done away with.
One example: the Bumper Stickers. 'Way back when, you'd leave the City to find a bumper sticker on your car's rear bumper, applied while you were there. In a day when hard chrome bumpers and weak adhesives prevailed, this advertising campaign wasn't overly harmful, but plastic cars and tough adhesives nowadays would make the practice much less reversable. And I *hate* having other people touch my truck ;D

I miss the bumper stickers. I would love one on my car.
-
I would like the bumper stickers, but I'd rather chose to have one instead of being stuck with one without my consent.
-
I'm not sure if this still exists or not, but the first year that they offered the "Buy your way to the front of the line" pass they plastered adds for it everywhere. I think they do still offer it (maybe it's called the Trailblazers pass?) but it's not flagrantly advertised all over the park like it was when it was new. I don't miss that...now if we could just do something so that every square inch of the park isn't brought to me by humana...
-
I miss the basketballs and the air brushed t-shirts. What......wait a minute....they are still there? My bad! I wished they were gone though!
-
funny smoke,,, I was going to say................................ ::) ::)
3 years from now, it is 2015............ I dont miss the basketballs.......! :o :o
-
I MISS THE GREEN TRAMS!!!!!!!!!!!! Whew, I thought I was going to explode if I didnt get that out....
-
I'm glad to see Kids Fest go every year
-
I don't remember SDC slapping on bumper stickers, but all the music shows did. Dad would stop and peel them off before we even got in the car.
I'm glad the punch tickets are gone, replaced by all-you-can-ride.
-
I have to go with the green trams, granted now I get more exercise since we always walk from where we park though I guess that is more of a warm up till you get in the park
-
Oh, I wouldn't mind HAVING some of the bumper stickers, but I don't want them on my vehicles!
-
I never knew about the bumper stickers, but I would be fuming if someone slapped a bumper sticker on my car without my consent. That would definitely leave a bad impression. However, I will take all the freebee Silver Dollar City merchandise that they want to hand out. ;D
-
I think it'd be cool (though probably more expensive) if they did the bumper sticker thing again, but with, say, window decals or magnetic bumper "stickers."
-
I spent too much time "deep thinking" my response when the answer was right in front of me! I miss the green trams, also.
-
Geesh! I need to learn how to read - or wake up and smell the coffee - I am NOT glad the green trams are gone! I miss them!! #Yawn# I think I'm awake now.
-
I'm glad to see Splash Harbor gone. Even as a kid I felt it wasn't in theme. I was always the one sent in by my family to find my brother and my cousins. It was always nearly impossible and took way too long. Personally, I wouldn't miss it if Geyser Gulch went away. Of course, I don't have kids, so some may not want to see it go.
-
If I could wish to loose something................my inlaws. And I would not miss them!!
-
I'm glad to see the "Gaslight Square" concept from '89 gone- that and the whole idea of changing the theme of the City from an Ozark Mountain Village from the 1880s to something else.
-
I think the gaslight square, or Victorian theme was derived from the brief concept of keeping the park exactly 100 years in the past (for example, 1889 during 1989, and 1890 during 1990, and so on). It worked because the years matched. Could you imagine if they had stuck with that concept? Silver Dollar City today would be themed after 1912 with cars, and planes, and a lot less moonshine. :P

I could lose my sister's compaining boyfriend who goes with us to SDC 85% of the time!
-
I could definitely lose guests that I have brought in with my baf's, and they are ready to leave the park after a couple of hours!

My sister's boyfriend used to use a BAF, then his grandma decided to get him a season pass for Christmas the past two years. There were times when mom told him if he didn't stop complaining, he can feel free to sit outside the gate and keep the ticket guys company until we decided to leave. It got so bad sometimes my sister even yelled at him, and that never happens! But yet, he keeps going back...
-
Tiffany that’s a great idea for a sign at the entrance. “Welcome to Silver Dollar City! Now, leave your whining, and complaining at the gate.” ;)
-
Great one Ozark. But I have a tough time even considering someone not having a terrific time at the "city".

When I was 8 or 9, I got food poisining from a restaurant on the way to Branson the day before we planned on going to SDC. I went to SDC anyway, and even with throwing up about twice every hour, I still had a good time!
-
many years ago i believe they tried to update the year from 1880 to around the turn of the century. they had something like the key stone cops. glad the came to their senses.
-
Bubba that was the Gaslight square time period that was mentioned above from 1989
