Yeah, he worked at one of the haunted houses here in KC for a long time. As for the music.. I borrowed it from YouTube & he told me to put something terrible on there, sorry. ;)

No dont be sorry! i just dont care for it,I wasn't offended by it or anything. someone else may like it. but the haunted house (yard) looks like fun and you can tell this person has done it before, he does have the talent for that.

i dont like that music either. i'm a bluegrass & or jazz person.

believe me, going thru this thing when its all said & done will be scary enough for me. but i will have total access to everything. his wife & 3 daughters ( poor guy!! LOL! ) help him with it & one of them is gunna lead me thru it while filming, should be great. he met his wife at 1 of the haunted houses 20+ years ago.

Nice. As a teen in the suburbs of StL, we would have the opportunity to find some world class haunted houses only about 35 min. away. We would try out a new one every year around Halloween as a group from school. The best one at the time was held in the Lemp Caverns (Not the mansion if you are familiar w/ the Lemp Family) I was even able to meet the original Wednesday Addams (from the TV show) Lisa Loring one year. I haven't had a good scare in a while that I paid for at a haunted house, I guess as an adult, most of my scares are from the wife, and from the bills in the mail!

I did not get a photo, but I got an autograph on my ticket stub. I will try to dig that out this weekend.

I have been on the Lemp mansion tour which was pretty cool, but I was very much out of my element. You tour the rooms and learn the history as to the several deaths in the building/ the family history etc (the site serves as a bed and breakfast as well as a banquet center. There are mediums, and it was with a group from an office I was working at (along w/ my Mom who was the office manager) and I was very conflicted with my own spirituality, and my own faith being on this tour. I did not experience anythiing that was not out of the ordinary, just some dust specs on some photos that some would say are orbs...who knows.

I have heard the many stories of the caves that run beneath the site, which in itself is a real haunt story in itself. It held many thing from prehistoric bones of peccary, to stories of native americans and usage during the underground railroad. The cave was used by the Lemps as a Vaudeville theater, it had a heated pool, and was used up into the 1950s as a show cave called "Cherokee Cave". Story goes that the cave entrances are blocked from within the mansion, and there is no access to the system at this time. I have seen photos after doing various Googlesearched that show an apparant entrance from somewhere, and this video from the local PBS affiliate proves it is still there! Marvel Cave it is not...but still cool to have in your basement!

The haunted house put on at Halloween is in the Factory (where the beer was produced) that is several floors above the natural cave system. Parts of the warehouse are used as gallery space for artists, studio space, or loft apartments as well as storage for several local businesses. This was a pretty good haunted house as a teen, I don't know what the quality is these days. There is a special on Groupon today 1/2 off a "speed pass" entry for 1. Still a bit pricey for me, and the wife doesn't care for things jumping out at her, so neddless to say I will be skipping this one.
