Just booked rooms for several weekends this year. Paige was really nice and I am excited to give it a try.
Also, wanted to thank Sanddunerider for setting up the discount for us on sdcfans. And the 40.00 per night rate is on double and king rooms. Its a great deal and is allowing us to get a couple extra nights here and there.

well Paige at eagles lodge has purchased the advertising site on the home page of sdcfans.com. How ever when i pull up the home page I am still seeing a White square with a little red "X" in the corner. I f i click on the "x" the eagles lodge website comes up?
I have talked to paige and she is having the same problem, However She has had her employees which are new to the site pull it up and they can see the eagles lodge logo.. SO???? not sure wazzup there. But at least the motel info is there for us and the new visitors to SDCfans.com ;D
AND dont forget, as SDCfans we get a special room rate of 40.00 + taxes. Any day, any room! Its a great deal....ok, moving on now.

i have 2 laptops and a desk machine at home, and the logo does not show up on any of them,
Paige in Branson has her laptops, business computer and personal desktop, and NO logo on them.
Paiges IT people DO have the logo on theirs.
suggestions? make it easy on me.. I is compooter illerate!

Looks like an issue with Internet Explorer. All other browsers display the ad fine. I'll have to get AdSella on it, since the problem lies in the way they are serving the ads to the site.

Just got off the phone with Paige. Made our reservations for April. Paige was very friendly and fun to talk too. Our rate including taxes was just under $45.00 a night--INCLUDING TAXES!!! Unbelievable. Looking forward to staying there.

Should be displayed by end of next week. Sanddunerider my family will be down there on April 21-22. We may be there a few hours on Saturday, but we will have to get back home. Sunday is Easter and since SDC is closed that Sunday (4/24), I'm guessing Saturday will be pretty busy anyway. But if you are staying at Eagles Lodge we may pass each other checking in and out.

Met with Paige over the weekend and she said they may be doing a name change on the motel. NOTHING ELSE WILL CHANGE!
They are getting some new carpet, new fixtures and other upgrades.

will be dropping the "eagle's lodge". Reason for doing this is because apparantly there are several places with "eagle's" in the name

Yea! Opening day for the hotel and looking foward to meeting/seeing you all soon! We had our first SDC Fan "walk-in" today and of course gets the same special rate! Keep in mind you can walk in to get the rate, just mention SDC Fans. Look forward to a great year and just added BT Bones to the family of restaurants for a discount with your room key. Hopefully soon, can add Golden Corral (sorry.....Red Lobster is not able to offer any discount). Working on the ice cream place too...stay tuned for more info!

I will definately keep you all posted as I get info. There is a "new" name theater called The Icon Theater, they are doing a tribute to the Platters, The Rat Pack. Chubby Checkers will be there in Nov. Also have a 50's/60's show called the Jukebox Journey. I have not heard anything about any of the shows yet whether good or bad, will try to see one soon. Sure you all know the Belle is on water now, just got Coast Guard approval last week.

Hi Everyone! Just received confirmation, the room key will now get you $5.00 off per ticket at the Hamner Barber show which is in walking distance from the hotel. I am working with Pierce Arrow/Shoji to offer the same discount to our guests, no final repsonse as of yet - will post as soon as I know yay or nay. The only restaurants on Shep Hill Exp I cannot get on board are Golden Corral (still waiting response) and for sure Red Lobster.

I just checked into theEagles Lodge,and even though I warned them it would be a late arrival I felt a little bad. Page opened the door for me and was extremely accommodating.
If you are looking for a "home" hotel here in Branson look no further.
They are supporting us with great deals and times are tough in this town of Branson. Lets return the favor support them so we have a resonableclean pet friendly place to stay and let them know how much we appreciate them.
You will not be sorry.

As of Today Eagles Lodge is ranked 15 out of 147 hotels in Branson, on Trip Advisor.
Deer Run (another favorite of SDCFans members) is ranked 17.

saw on facebook that the other day, Paige was cleaning the pool and slipped and fell. Apparantly she broke her left wrist in 2 places. Have not talked to her yet. But heres wishing her a speedy recovery!

Thank you all so much for thinking of me! I'm doing fine, you would be surprised how much you can do with one arm; I've been laughing at myself. ;D I did learn finally that I don't have to do everything around here, that's what staff is for...hee hee! Just trying to get the pool up early, we still may have up next week. I won't go near it at this point, not till I can swim... ;)

Gigs? Don't remember if we really talked about what you do, maybe we did (sorry if I forgot) & If you play in a band you should hook up with my hubby Lance when you're here - he sings; plays guitar; bass; etc. & records on his own equipment, had a studio when we lived in Denver. You be sure to take care of yourself and family. We'll "leave the lights on for ya" when you can get up to Branson again! :D

Called Paige yesterday to book our room for June 3-17. Paige was very nice and helpful, can't wait to get down where it's warmer and not freezing at night.

I checked into the Eagles Lodge today just to meet sanddunerider and his lady jacking jaw with Paige in the office. I highly recomend this hotel, Paige even let me bring my dog.
And the wireless ( that I am using fromthe room right now) works great.
Its nice to have a place to stay that goes out of itsway to make you feel at home.

thats a great idea trams! If we needed to we could break out the grills and coolers at the motel. Paige has got a breakfast area inside if the weather was bad, probably could seat 30-40 people in there easy. I bet we could even get a "special" breakfast out of her, if there enough of us there....

Did you find a nice place for dinner? Just curious what you decided.
We ended up at TOUCH in Springfield on Saturday evening, Sunday evening we went to the Golden Coral.
Touch in Springfield is excellent and its on South republic about 1/4 from the Glenstone exit maybe a 25 min drive. I recommend it highly.

Try not to schedule during car show weekend (Aug 11-15) or veteran's week (Nov 7-13); those times are some of our busiest and will be sold out. Other than that let's get together! ;D

After our 2 weeks in June we have another week off Sept.10-17....don't know if we can get any other time off during Summer.Would like to get down there for the get-together.

If we could pin down dates & room needs/people count; maybe I could get a "sponsered" catered meal from one of the restaurants that already give discounts on the room keys for one of the nights; maybe some night time entertainment - okiebluegrass? ;D By the way we were able to add Golden Corral just recently so all restaurants on Shep Of The Hills strip that we are located on, except Red Lobster - 10% discount.

We are trying! We just need to paint & fill (I will not be hands on for this.... :(, just over-seeing) It depends on the weather, supposed to have rain in the afternoons until weds this week. I will post progress on the pool by Tues to let everyone know. Keep in mind all of our guests can use the facilities @ our sister property (Best Western Laning View), indoor pool, etc. as well anytime. My goal & pushy attitude wants it up by May 27th; I usually win..... ;)

Wanted to pass along a review. We had to cancel but mom and dad went on and stayed the weekend of May 13/14. They really enjoyed the hotel and were please with how clean it was and the friendliness of the staff.
Cant wait until we get there!

Pool status - we are re-pumping out rain water again, trying to re-clean/paint tomorrow, then start filling.....not sure if it will be up before Sun. Sorry! The weather has been problimatic as I'm sure you are aware. Again our guests can use the pool/hot tub at our sister property Best Western Landing View. Our pool will be up early to mid next week if not before.

beds i think are very comfy.. Every room has a fridge-coffee pot-Microwave
breakfast:
2 types of cereal
Milk of course
Orange juice
Fresh Waffles
Toast/Buns/Danish
Pastries: donuts- multiple kinds
Oatmeal: different flavors
Coffee
Tea.

Great to hear they have a fridge and microwave. Its nice to be able to take a "to go" box from a restaurant back to your hotel. I hate leaving leftovers.

Pool....needed a new pump, is installed, should be up this week. Apologize for the delay.

As for your wrist...
I was in an air cast for a ruptured ulnar ligament in the thumb for 6 weeks, a hard cast for 4 weeks (I know this seems backwards), and then a neoprene brace for 2 weeks, along with 4 weeks of physical therapy. I know how it feels to use one had, and still I have trouble (this all happened between October, and January). There were times with my hard cast where I had shooting pains, and I felt as if it was not in the right place, or needed to be re-cast. I still find things I cannot do, and things I have pain with (opening bottles, turning keys, holding things) Hang in there!

I am very please with the room. Everything looks clean & new. I have all our groceries loaded into the good-sized fridge, and my hubby and boys are sleeping peacefully on the comfy beds. I hope to join them in La La Land soon! LOL!

Thank you all for the good wishes! I did get a new cast today finally. Soooooo much better! Hard to explain but yeah not put on right by the dr's assistant..hope she doesn't get in too much trouble over it (I fractured the distal radius & the ulna). Wow rube, you went through a lot (makes me wonder what contraption I'll be in after this?)! ;) I just keep praying mine will heal right...so far no surgery and want to keep it that way.
Mandy, would love to meet you too! I'll be back on shift Friday but do live on-site & check in on my staff often. Maybe tomorrow afternoon or later in the evening, ask Cherie to contact me & I would be happy to come down. ;D

Two things! Pool is up - lots of folks/kids still out there....water a little chilly but hot out for the next week so all is good.
We have launched the new website for the name change to Homestay Inn, www.homestaybranson.com; running both websites for a few. We will probably use the new logo/link on this site in a few weeks; & you will see that as well on Tripadvisor, etc. No worries, all price, etc stays the same for our members. New sign coming soon!

i think you will find this weekend "slower" than usuual..
the weekend after memorial day has a slower traffic count. and SDC is usually slower mon-tue-wed...

yes cocodane our discount is 40.00 per room, no matter double queens, single king, or the handicapped rooms. all one rate. as many as you need. we are brong froends this weekend and have 2 rooms saved back for us...

Its still pretty slow for Branson overall (we are busy here at the hotel this weekend which is great!), beginning of the week usually is slow and will have rooms available, most guests check out on Sundays.

I was there for Tuesday and Wednesday of last week, but then had to rush off to Salina/Bennington Kansas for 5 shows in 3 days. The Ramada I stayed in there is not half as nice as Eagle's lodge. Paige, you're awesome! :)

Well, I must confess, I have ALWAYS stayed at the same motel for the past 10 or so years. I'll not name the motel, but we were always given the "local" rates, received special discounts and I liked the location. On this strip, but "off" the strip. Welp, apparently the motel has new owners and I'm here to say I will NEVER darken their door again. Wife was treated rude when we checked in, room smelled terrible, only had two towels (there were 4 of us) and each day we had to request additional towels! Saturday we spent at SDC and was going to the Dixie Stampede so we ran to the room for a quick change only to find they did not clean our room that day! When we reported it to the office, she acted like it was our fault! This place has REALLY went downhill. Again, I'll not be back! We thought about staying at the Eagles Lodge, but....I've always stayed at this place and I hate breaking tradition.......I should have known better.
Paige, you now have another loyal customer from here on out! On our way home, I drove the family by your place and I said "Look kids...that's where we'll be staying from now on!"

how close is this place from SDC? i checked out their site but cant really tell. we are going to SDC in july & we too have always stayed in the same motel, but, the woman just cant find beds that are soft enough for her.

how do.. the motel is 1/2 mile north of 67/shepherd of the hills stop light. It is all open road, no in branson driving. (That is the very west edge of branson)
Yestarday morning i pulled out of the lodge and it took less than 10 minutes to get there and get parked.

how do.. the motel is 1/2 mile north of 67/shepherd of the hills stop light. It is all open road, no in branson driving. (That is the very west edge of branson)
Yestarday morning i pulled out of the lodge and it took less than 10 minutes to get there and get parked.

I am less than a month away from our "vacation" and doing some serious planning. What are the restaurants that give a 10% discount with room key.
With the fridge we are planning on sandwiches and snacks for a couple meals. but in my mind with a discount I can rationalize more meals out!

Left my review on trip advisor! We found our new "home" in Branson. Just got back yesterday from a 4 day stay and had a great time. Never got to meet Paige though....maybe nextime! I can't for the life of me remember her name, but the lady from Tulsa checked us in and was VERY friendly and helpful. We had never stayed on that side of Branson before because we were always on "the strip", but I really liked it. Thanks for a great stay! We'll be back!

On the biscuits & gravy, we do supply when a bus group comes in but we are not "approved" to serve daily due to our kitchen size set-up here at the hotel. We have discussed....maybe next year if we can change the kitchen set-up.
Sorry for not being more in-touch to some of the questions...we sold out the last few nights and wonderfully busy! Again due to all of your support, cannot say thank you enough!

Cherie! Yep that was her. Very nice, friendly and helpful. We'll be back this fall and again at Christmas. Also, the little old lady housekeeper was neat. She was still cleaning our room when we checked in so we just dropped our bags off and went on to SDC. We visited with her a short while and she was friendly as well. I think you have a pretty good crew on board.
So what is the story on the name change? When will it be official?
On a funnier note....my sister and her husband went to Branson at the end of the week and I told them to stay with you all, but they screwed up and went to the wrong motel by mistake. Sounds like you were full anyway.

dewey, the way i understand it, there are 3 or 4 motels in the area with the word "eagles" in it.. Gets confusing for some people. So the PTB came up with the "homestay" name.. catchy ! huh?...
on another note, cherie is a sweetheart, and yes everybody there is great!

We are just waiting for the sign......the first order for the sign I guess was not measured right by the sign company, etc? ??? As soon as the new sign is up then we will drop the Eagle's Lodge. Should have the sign in the next 2 weeks from what I'm told. We are running both web sites: www.eagleslodgebranson.com & www.homestaybranson.com for now. Plus will put the new logo up on this sight as well.
Lois is the elder of our crew, she has been here for 5 years and keeps on ticking! She is going to be 81 this year and can run circles around us sometimes. She keeps on impressing me! ;)
FYI, Go ahead and get your reservations in asap for December as the owner is going to decide when we will close for the season (usually after the first week). The more reservations I have, the more I can convince to stay open longer!

My only concern is how we will get everything done in only 3 full days. This is a special Birthday gift/trip for our daughter ---she turns 14 next Friday and she is excited for SDC/White Water but we are also surprising her with Titanic---she's a huge fan and then of course we finally decided on Haygoods, Kung Fu and Cat's Pajamas!
I'm sure since your a smaller motel you don't have anything special but just wondering if you do anything for Birthday's in the room?? We did have a cake delivered one time when we traveled and that was fun for our DD.
It was nice talking to Paige on the phone she is very nice as all of you have said.
Any advice on what we can do the night we check in---it will probably be 6 or after so a quick bite to eat and then we should have time to do something--How late are the shops open??

We were able to make a quick trip to Branson last week. Checked in at Eagles Lodge Wednesday, August 3rd and checked out Sunday, August 7th. Had a great stay. Appreciate how friendly Paige and her staff is. Especially appreciate the fact that the air conditioner was able to keep up. It was very hot while we were there.

We stayed at Eagles Lodge on Friday night and the room was great!! I'm don't know much about their operation or how long they have owned this motel, but it was very obvious that our room had recently been updated (especially the bathroom)! We were only in town long enough to do WW Friday and SDC Saturday. We were probably in the room no more then 10 hours, just long enough to sleep. We didn't meet Pagie, but the staff we interacted with were very friendly an pleasant! My daughter just had to get her picture with the monster truck parked out front. Wished we could have stayed Saturday night for the car show parade. Thanks Eagles Lodge!!

I was wondering if there would be a problem with a little grilling and tailgating in the back corner of the parking lot? Not a kegger or anything, it just really expensive for 6 people to eat out for 3 days straight. We would probably 3 or 4 rooms for us and our friends.

Not a problem at all! Hoping by next year if not done by end of the month (keep pushing for a year now) is a place by the pool with a Pergola/Canopy and grills to be provided. Enjoy yourself and anything we can do to accomodate, you let us know we will do what we can! Would love to have your here, so just let me know. :D

The pool is still open, will probably start closing down later next week. It will be chilly though so be ready! Also, please know that we are working on rooms for new carpet! Yea! ;D Trying to get at least 75% done for now. King rooms will be getting new tile/carpet hopefully soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Homestay Inn this past weekend (Sept 10-11). Got to meet Paige and visit with her for a while; even spoke with the housekeeper, she was so friendly. Our King room was clean and tidy. We liked the updated lodge style light fixtures, that was a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable with good pillows. The shower was great, with good water pressure. We had planned to use the pool, but went to Cakes N Creams instead for a late evening dessert. The breakfast room was very nice with lodge style ceiling fans and sunny windows; the pastries were good as well, along with the fresh coffee. We enjoyed our stay, especially the warm welcoming hospitality! Thanks for the great deal, we WILL return.

Enjoyed talking with you too! Look forward to seeing you again! I do like our rooms, a little different than stark white walls, etc. The owner will stay with the theme even with name change. Because of the way the rooms are decorated is one of the reasons why I came on board, unique I guess is the way to describe. AND more updating to follow... ;)

i have a question about homestay inn, the wife and i are planning a visit this fall but still not sure about the date. anyway can anyone tell me if homestay inn has a honeymoon suite and how are the bed's? we have stayed at what i would say is a decent hotel and the beds are horable and what i mean is very uncomfortable. the rooms are nice and clean but the beds are cheap and lost all there comfort. thanks

honeymoon suite no, nice clean room with king size bed yes. and all rooms have a fridge,microwave and coffee pot.
Several stay at homestay all the time, i have not read any complaints about the beds. I can tell you the mattresses have been updated and you wont find one in the place broke down... (not allowed)
Our SDCFan rate is 40.00 per nite + tax. Give them a try, i think you will be pleased.

Just wanted to report another great stay at the Home stay this Saturday night. Went into town and saw an Imax and then SDC the next day. It was rainy but it was a nice time to spend time at the parks with friends.
Thank you Page, I think my little dog did well after being showered with love from each guest and employee at the place! She seemed to settle right in and find a nice spot to rest while I was out. Its so nice to be able to bring her with I appreciate what you do to make that possible.

I bet you are right, I think its great that you allow us to leave Izzy in the room. That really means the world to me.
And I agree that many other SDC fans may be helped by being able to take their pet. My Izzy is good to sleep for the few hours I am gone but if someone threw a bone in there and scratched behind her ear a " lil " I would be easily swayed into giving thanks to the persons doing this. I respect the power of the TIP !

We all love our pets and rest assured while here if you bring, they will get extra attention! If you leave a do not disturb sign then we leave you alone....but if you don't mind, our staff would be happy to check in on the "kid(s)" while you are enjoying the sites. Let us know at the front desk! Happens all the time and we do not mind.
Sundune can confirm about the dog who's owner ran away (owner/dog were not staying here)? They helped me babysit for ahwile, eventually had to call animal control; owner never found. Good News! He did get adopted and happy they tell me at the new home. ;D

I have a call into the owner regarding "closing" date, he has been thinking about it for awhile now. He is out of town so hopefully will hear from him early next week. For now, we will be open until Dec 6th and will confirm about our sister property rates while we are closed. So, "hold please" and will let you all know asap.

My parents headed up to Branson last night, and brought their sheltie/corgi, & are staying at HomeStay for 3 nights. My Wife & I are heading up tomorrow afternoon & staying there as well! Looking forward to another great stay! I mean, it's been an entire month since we were in Branson last! haha

Just came back from staying at Homestay Inn over the Columbus day weekend. We really enjoyed our stay and Paige was very nice. Thanks for including the beautiful sunrise the morning we left. What an added bounus.

Went to Branson over the weekend and spent 3 nights at Homestay Inn. Paige was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Was very impressed with the room especially for the price. Think we have now found our motel to stay in during our visits when we're not camping. This is really a great bonus for SDC Fans members. I still need to go post my review on Trip Advisor; today's the first time I've had some free time since I got home Monday night.

Okay, at this point looks like our last day to be open will be Dec 6th. I will continue to talk to the owner to see if in any way we can do at least one more week. In the meantime I am talking with our sister property to see what kind of rate we can do this year while closed like we did last year (new manager over there at BW Landing and I think you will be impressed). So for now, this is where we stand and will continue to update. ;D We will also be in-touch with the other hotels on SOTH and can advise who will be open, etc. Thanks for your patience!

No reason to be superstitious though many people bring it up. I really enjoy meeting and talking with people so the big guy upstairs helped guide me to a good place and folks like you!
P.S. I've been there on the fast food number and walked under ladders and, well you get the picture. The only bad thing that happened to me so far is slippin in the pool and a little wrist fracture, I survived. ;) Oh I do have a black cat and nothing has ever come from that either....HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I hope?

Wife & I will be at Homestay Nov. 5-6. Family will be there 4-6. Was able to get all 3 of our rooms together! That's a plus!

We've stayed there and it's great. The beds are comfy. The rooms are super clean. It's quiet. Getting ready to book for 2 more weekends here in just a few minutes. You cannot go wrong folks. It's a great place to stay.
We have recommended Homestay Inn to many folks. Hubs has told everyone at Schreiber's that he works with to stay with you if they're looking for a place or a new regular Branson "hotel home".
A big THANK YOU to Paige and her employees for giving us a great place to rest our heads while we are in Branson! ;D

I know huh? This year went by so fast I can't remember any of the holidays we've gone through this year. AND I haven't been to SDC yet......will for sure after we close. I always seem to get to get to do things around the Xmas season but not before. Maybe next year, I will try another day off other than Weds...didn't work out so well this time (didn't even get the boat out man!). Last year we were able to do all kinds of things. Maybe it was because we were busier? Who knows....3 months off sounding real good right now. ;)

Well Junior, HAPPY to report that so far had more rooms than expected. I guessed about 175-200 originally and we are at 278 as of today (many more reservations coming)! Because of the wonderful support from this site, the reviews, etc, we actually have received quite a few reservations from non-sdcfan members just by reading the site/reviews. Even convinced some to join by the way. ;D I do not see why we wouldn't continue to sponsor and will work hard with the owner to keep the same rate next year.... ;) Not bad for the first year, and I know there are many that haven't been able to stay yet that want to try next year. Thank you all and remember, last night open is the 10th (check out the 11th) so if you can squeeze it in, would love to see you! :D

Biscuit, so sorry I missed you this time! I was here but didn't get on shift until 3-3:30. I was soaking any time off I could. See....this week I have late arrivals for the next 3 nights (latest I think is 3:00 am) on Thurs? So, due to that I am resting as much as I can. Oh and hoping for good movies to keep me awake till all guests arrive safely. :D
By the way, sorry I was told the TV was "fixed" so we just replaced it the day you left of course, and on the power strip well replaced that too. Hope you didn't suffer too much? ;)

Hello Everyone! Finally have an update on the "special rate" for our sister property the Best Western Plus Landing View. The rate will be good till mid-March and if you do call, mention that I sent you over and you normally stay with us to ensure you get the rate. The rate this winter season is $59.00+tax, they do take pets ($10.00 per stay). They are a 4-star hotel and do have a pretty good hot breakfast I'm told (eggs, etc.). Their number is
800-828-0404, they are located by downtown Branson/Branson Landing area on Hwy 76.
Meanwhile I'll be working on keeping the same rate for here for next year! ;D Remember our last night open will be Dec 10th, checkout on the 11th. When I confirm our opening date will definately let you know, Thank you!

I had always stayed at best western west near the ciy when my mommy would take me. They do have a good continental b-fast. If it was not for Paiges amazing place and rates that is where I would continue to stay. Thanks for working so hard for us Paige!
