Title: Whats with the septic problem near Thunderation?
Post by: mhguy77 on July 03, 2010, 07:43:03 PM

I was in the park on Friday and there was a really rank smell in the line at Thunderation, I assume it was comming from the Echo Hollow restrooms as there were some maintenence workes there hanging around.
That area is frequently stinky.
Why cant they fix that up?

There may also be some restaurant grease trap cleanouts in that area.  Hopefully they work it out ASAP - no one likes a stinky rollercoaster.  In the meantime, don't light any matches.

LOL
I asked the guys collecting near the bathrooms if they were going to break out the Lime, they started laughing and shaking their heads.
I have noticed it before, I am sure they have some funky septic field there on the side of that hill, its definitely that echo hollow bathroom there just a few feet down from the " Z " in the bottom entrance walkway of the ride.

When I was there for Spring Break Days they had a problem with the one in front of the Mill and Candle shop..  That thing you set on thinking is a bench in front of the mill is really the septic tank....

Bathroom in front of the mill? are you talking about Marys Springhouse area?
Do you mean an employee bathroom?
I am not familiar with that location.
I could see there being a grease trap near the restaurants.

Growing up near Norfork lake we had a lot of septic issues, they ended up demanding new leach fields.  It would seem they could invest in something like that or just do a water saving toilet in the problem location and a holding container to be pumped.Sounds gross but smelling it is really not an appetizing thing.
